We do love a nice mirror – and as well as looking good, they’re a useful addition to your interior decor. A combination of a mirror and clever lighting can transform dark corners by reflecting light. They’re also great for making a small room look bigger – positioning a mirror opposite a window will reflect light back into the room and show movement from outside for a more interesting atmosphere. And did we mention you can also use them to check your appearance?! They’re nothing if not useful. We’ve picked out ten of our favours to treat yourself – and your home – this spring.
1. Square sunburst mirror, Ella James

If you’re looking for something that’s eye-catching without being too chunky, then this elegant square sunburst mirror could fit the bill. It would look great positioned opposite the front door in a hallway, or on a landing opposite a window. £200, available from Ella James.
2. Nina mirror, Sweetpea & Willow

This Nina mirror is made from MDF and metal with a shabby chic whitewashed finish. It would fit well into a modern or vintage-style interior and would work nicely as a bedroom mirror. £105, available from Sweetpea & Willow.
3. Arched wall mirror, Garden Trading

With its minimal, curved shape the Arched Wall Mirror is perfect for putting above a table, bathroom sinks or vanity units. The minimal frame gives it a clean, simple line yet it’s more interesting than a square or oblong shape. £100, available from Garden Trading.
4. Metal wall mirror, Casa Chic Boutique

This neat little round mirror measures 40cm in diameter so it’s perfect for small spaces like cloakrooms. The frame is made from electroplated metal which is resistant to tarnish, so it will need little upkeep. It costs £29.99 and is available from Casa Chic Boutique.
5. Bailey wall mirror, Atkin and Thyme

Bailey wall mirror is designed to have an Art Deco/Mid Century feel, but we think it also has a nautical flavour and reminds us of a porthole. The mango wood and brass outer ring frame give it an unusual touch. Was £229 now £179, available from Atkin and Thyme.
6. Gingko leaf wall mirror, Audenza

Perfect for adding a touch of luxury to a dining room, this extravagantly decorated mirror will create a real focal point. The frame is handmade from iron and finished in antiqued gold and brown. £145, available from Audenza.
7. Novasolo Halifax white painted profile mirror, White Tree Furniture

‘Profile’ mirror refers to the fact that this mirror boasts a three-dimensional frame which protrudes into the room, rather than a flat frame. This means that it will take up slightly more room but it will add a sense of interest, depth and dimension to the space. This mirror is influences by French furniture, and is currently on sale for £209 (was £299) from White Tree Furniture.
8. Rainbow wall mirror, Mint & May

Perfect for raising a smile on the greyest of days, this rainbow mirror has bright fabric fringes and would be perfect for a family bathroom. Was £35, now £25, available from Mint & May.
9. Black and gold detailed mirror, Norfolk Bay Company

This mirror is very traditional with a heavy black and gold frame. It measures 78cm by 68cm and would suit a more classic interior. £139, available from Norfolk Bay Company.
10. Rectangular iron window mirror, Cox & Cox

Perfect for a cloakroom where there’s no real window, this industrial style mirror features nine panels and a distressed, black iron frame. It costs £250 and is available from Cox & Cox.
