[AD] What seasonal home scent and fragrances do you most associate with Christmas? Is it the scent of a fresh evergreen Christmas tree? The smell of roasted chestnuts or fruity homemade cranberry sauce? Do you think of the cosy ambience and smell of a burning log fire? Or maybe you think of freshly baked spice gingerbread, mince pies or hot apple toddy?
Whatever scent instantly springs to mind when Christmas is mentioned, it’s likely to be strongly linked to your Christmas memories (and, hopefully, happy ones). If you want to continue to make festive memories, or re-kindle your favourite Christmas fragrances from long gone, seasonal home scents can help.
It’s no surprise that here at Fresh Design we’re fans of scented candles and home fragrance products, so we’ve enjoyed trawling through some seasonal home scents to put together our favourites.

If your favourite seasonal home scent is linked to festive Christmas foods or drinks, you’re in for a treat. There are some gorgeous scented candles and room fragrances around that help evoke your favourite scents, without you having to bake or make – just light a wick and unleash the fragrance!
Fruity frosted cranberries and hot roasted chestnuts are the name of the day with these three candles. They’ll help scent your home with the scents you love.
The Bath and Body Works has two versions of Frosted Cranberry candles – the first has notes of cedar wood and orange oil, whilst the second has red apple and tonka beans – choose the one which appeals most to you, or try both to see the difference.
The Spiced Chestnut candle is sweet and spicy, with notes of chestnut, rum, mulled apple, spice and cider.
If spiced hot toddy, traditional Christmas orange, spiced gingerbread or cinammon scents are meaningful to you, these candles and room spray will provide the perfect fragrance solution.
The Spiced Apple Toddy candle has a lovely mix of spices, plus cinnamon, plum, brandy, cranberries and apple, which combine together to provide a fruity and spicy aroma.
The luxurious Diptyque Oranger candle scent is a nice reminder of finding a satsuma in your Christmas stocking and the spiced apple toddy candle will get you yearning for your favourite tipple.
The Spiced Gingerbread room spray and Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla candle will make your home smell like you’ve been baking up a storm!
If you want reminders of sweet and minty candy canes, burn the Twisted Peppermint candle. It’s got a sweet herbal scent packed with peppermint.
Toasted Vanilla Chai will make you crave the drink, as it’s packed with aromas of clove, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg.
