Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside! Oh, we do like to be beside the sea! Sadly, for most of us that’s not practicable on a daily basis – but we can have the next best thing. It’s surprising how evocative a deckchair is – you only need to put one up to feel the sea breeze on your face and the sand between your toes. This year, we’re treating ourselves to a couple of new deckchairs, perfect for alfresco lounging – even if it’s just in the back garden. From traditional candy stripes to contemporary florals, here’s what we’ve found.

There are ten different colourways to choose from so these deck chairs are a great way to add a splash of colour to your garden. 9. Fringed deckchair in blue stripe, Cox & Cox
