Right, we’ve had enough of grey, drizzly days; long nights and monochrome landscapes – we want colour in our garden, and we want it now! While the spring bulbs coming into flower are definitely helping, we want more, so we thought it was the perfect time to add a little early colour in the shape of garden accessories. Here’s what we’ve tracked down:
1. Bluebell plant stake, The National Trust

3. Wooden mushroom, The Wooden Chicken Co

Hand crafted from wind fallen logs, each mushroom is made from a single log cut to size using a chain saw then finished off using a belt sander. Hand painted with a red painted cap with white spots, these mushrooms will add a splash of colour to a garden or terrace. £10, available from Etsy.
4. Rainbow plant pot, Handicraftpots

This bright pot is painted with acrylic paints and sealed to make it waterproof. It measures 15cm in diameter and 13.5cm high and can be used outside. Ideal for planting up with a few bulbs ready for spring. £13, available from Handicraftpots via Etsy.
5. Ivone woven garden dining chair in multicoloured, Cult Furniture

Garden furniture doesn’t have to be weak and wobbly plastic – this woven garden chair is made from PVC multi-coloured cord and stands on sturdy metal legs. A contemporary twist on traditional rattan furniture, it’s ideal for the patio or garden. 6. Panton chair, Vitra

The star of the 1960s, Vitra’s Panton Chair was the very first fully plastic chair made from a single section. Since its launch, the Panton Chair has undergone several production phases. It is now bring produced in line with Panton’s original idea – consistently dyed, tough plastic with a matt surface. It offers flexible comfort and is tough enough to live indoors or out. 7. Ladybird garden wall art, London Garden Trading

A charming metal ladybird garden sculpture to accessorise your garden wall or fence. Made from recycled steel from oil drums and car parts, this garden decoration is designed to reflect the rustic nature of the materials used to create it. Although powder coated, natural weathering will still take place, adding more charm and contrast to the ladybird. £14.95 each, available from London Garden Trading.
8. Ibiza outdoor rug in green multi, Fab Hab

We may not be able to go to Ibiza at the moment, but this outdoor rug will bring a hint of sunshine to your garden while you’re sitting out with a cuppa. It’s woven using premium quality plastic straws, and it’s reversible too so that you can update the look with a single flip. It’s waterproof, but will probably appreciate being brought in when the weather is really bad – and it’s washable, too. £54.95, available from Cuckooland.
9. All-in-one garden table, Bespoke Urban

This table and bench set is handmade in a plain, industrial style from steel and reclaimed wood. The steel frame is available in over 100 colours, and the set comes in a choice of three different sizes depending on how many you want it to seat. 10. Robin fatball feeder, London Garden Trading

January and February are lean times for birdlife, and feathered visitors will appreciate bird feeders in your garden. This unusual feeder has two robins made from recycled metal perching on the side to encourage the birds to feed. £24.95, available from London Garden Trading.
