Right, we’re bored of being stuck indoors now! We’re planning to make over our home office (aka corner of the spare room) with as many bright, quirky and colourful accessories as we can find to cheer us up. These companies are all still supplying online, so if you feel the need to add a pop of colour or a quirky accessory to your desk you can do so safely.
1. Legs eleven pen holder, Audenza

OK, we’re not even trying to be sensible with this one! We definitely think every desk should have an actual pen on it, though, and at least you’ll be able to find yours easily with this brass holder. This would also make a great gift for friends who love writing. It costs £29, and is available from Audenza.
2. Clipboard frame, Block Design

Available in a wide range of bright, fresh colours, this little clipboard is made from powder coated steel. It’ll sit on your desk and hold anything from photos to memos, ideal for displaying memories, plans or projects. It costs £12 and is available from Block Design.
3. Folgate desk lamp, Garden Trading

Light up your life (or at least your desk!) with this Folgate lamp. Using a contemporary combo of painted steel and sustainable rubber wood, it’s available in four colours including this Lulworth Blue. £50, available from Garden Trading.
4. Cute desk clock in pink, Zuiver

The perfect addition to any office, this little ceramic clock with its gold hands brings a touch of retro style to your desk. It’s also available in green, and it’s reduced in Cuckooland’s sale. Was £25, now just £14.95.
5. Retro 746 brushed chrome retro telephone, Wild and Wolf

There’s no rhyme or reason behind this one, we just saw it and now we want it! The 746 is the quintessential British retro telephone and 60s style icon. Launched in 1967, this contemporary model boasts modern features but maintains the look and feel of the original. It comes in a range of colours and finishes and plugs into a standard phone socket. £65, available from Wild and Wolf.
6. O-Tidy office accessory by Michel Charlot for Vitra

Designed to look like a cup and saucer, this sleep desk tidy will help you keep everything neat. Made from robust plastic, O-Tidy is available in a selection of bright colours and will help you look the part in your next Zoom conference! £29, available from nest.
7. Persephone cornflower and red hexagonal pencil pot, Cambridge Imprint

Want, want, want! This hexagonal pencil caddy is made from strong card, covered and lined with patterned paper and measures 64 mm in diameter and 102 mm tall. It’s available in a wide range of colours and patterns, and costs £13.50 from Cambridge Imprint.
8. Shade bin by Thomas Bentzen for Hay

Available in a range of contemporary colourways including this dusty green, this bin has a sharp, geometric design. We like the removable lid, which gives the top a funnel effect – perfect for lobbing bits of rolled up paper into. It costs £35 and is available from nest.
9. Aztec rug, Very

If you’ve got room, cheer up your floor space with this bright rug. The dense polypropylene pile means its practical, durable and hardwearing. It’s available in a range of sizes in ochre, black or grey and prices start at £49.99 from Very.
10. Cast iron bicycle bookends, Red Candy

Cycle through your favourite thrillers, mysteries and fantasy fiction, whilst keeping your book stash in check with the help of the bicycle bookends! These unusual bookends will help to keep your office shelves looking neater, or would make a great gift for a keen cyclist. £22.50, available from Red Candy.
