It might not really be ideal picnic weather just at the moment, but here at Fresh Design we’re optimistic! We’ve found the most stylish, fun and colourful accessories around so that when the sun finally makes an appearance we’ll be ready. Here’s what we’ve found:

4. Owen owl solar light, Red Candy

If you’re planning to stay out until dusk, then taking some kind of lamp along is a good idea – and here’s one you won’t lose! This owl-shaped lamp has integrated solar panel that charge in direct sunlight. Once dark, it gives up to six hours of light. £25.90, available from Red Candy.

5. Picnic set in Islabomba, Sunnylife

From Australian brand Sunnylife comes this cute picnic set for two, containing two sets of cutlery and two plates in a carry case. Ideal for making sure you haven’t forgotten the spoons! £25, available from Sunnylife.

6. Kissing hedgehogs picnic blanket, Annabel James

This picnic blanket in Anorak’s Kissing Hedgehogs design has a practical waterproof backing, as well as being super lightweight and machine washable. 7. Dragonfly melamine beaker, Sophie Allport

8. 24 pack of tropical paper napkins, Poundland
