At this time of year we love the look of climbing wisteria, grown as trees or seen climbing up the outside of house walls, and especially their gorgeous cascades of colourful flowers. If you’ve got wisteria envy, then why not bring the look of the climbers into your home with this gorgeous floral wisteria wallpaper?
The floral Wisteria wallpaper is designed by Pearl Lowe and available to purchase from Woodchip & Magnolia.
Pearl was inspired to create the design after buying a house along a river and discovering that they had wisteria growing in the garden. When the flowers came out for the first time in May that year, she says it was, “the most enchanting thing I ever saw.”
Depending on the variety of wisteria, the flowers range in colour from white and pale pink, to blue, mauve and purple and they are depicted beautifully in the floral wisteria wallpaper.
The wisteria wallpaper is available in a variety of colourways, including midnight mint, botanical green, noir black and pink bloom.
The dark backgrounds of the midnight blue and black create a striking contrast with the fresh green leaves and shades of pink flowers.
The design on the green and pink background wallpapers is most like wisteria as you see it growing up a wall, with the vine-like plant weaving itself up the wall and cascades of flowers hanging down.
We think Pearl and Lowe’s floral wisteria wallpaper is spot on in terms of a realistic design. The only thing you don’t get it is the scent of the wisteria flowers!
