Fringes are making a comeback, and this is one trend it’s easy to dip a toe into. Fringed accessories can help transform the look of a room by adding colour, movement and texture. The key to getting the look right, though, is not to go too overboard – think lampshades OR cushions, rugs OR throws, or the end result will be more cowboy saloon bar than contemporary chic!
If you have more than one fringed accessory, mix them up – for example, with a long woollen fringe on rugs and short silken tassels on lampshades. If you’re the creative type, this is also an ideal opportunity to get crafty – sewing a length of fringing onto cushions will give you a whole new look. Here’s our pick of the best fringed home accessories to get you started.
