If a new kitchen is top of your list for home improvements to undertake this year (it’s on ours), then taking advantage of sale prices can make a significant difference.
A new kitchen is one of the most popular improvements to make. The kitchen is a room that’s frequently regarded as the heart and hub of a home – it’s not just a place where you cook, but also entertain and spend time with family – so it’s no wonder it’s worth investing in.
When you come to sell your house and move, a good quality, functional kitchen is also a major benefit as it’s one of the key rooms people tend to focus on, so taking the time to add a new kitchen could help increase the future re-sale value of your home.
For the bargain hunters, now is a great time to go kitchen shopping. Magnet currently have a half price sale on their kitchens, plus are offering an extra 10% off sale prices for a limited time, so it’s a great time to look at the options available.
We’ve been swooning over the gorgeous kitchen designs currently in the Magnet sale and have picked out our top sale favourites. Let’s take a look.
The Nova kitchen
We love kitchen designs that are contemporary, fresh and simple, yet look stylish and the Nova kitchen certainly ticks all those boxes.
The Nova kitchen has lots of clean lines and super functionality – no unnecessary fussy details in sight – and it’s a kitchen that will work with your needs.
The colour choices of the units are all in a classic neutral palette, but they’re given a contemporary edge by the use of a high gloss finish. Choose from white, cashmere, cream or matt grey and combine them with worktops in your choice of laminate, wood or even granite finish.
The best news of all is the price. Amazingly, a 12 unit Nova kitchen is currently available for just £2,192 – brilliant if you’re on a budget, but want to update your kitchen design.
The Luna kitchen
Another big favourite in the Magnet sale is the stunning Luna kitchen range.
The Luna design is clean and uncluttered, with integrated door handles, which add to the modern feel. If you enjoy socialising in your kitchen as you prepare food, or like to have somewhere to sit and eat a quick breakfast, the island unit is the perfect addition to have. What looks like a pendant light in the photo above is the Elixa white seashell hood. It’s beautifully designed and in keeping with the minimal feel and is bound to prove a talking point.
Like the Nova, the Luna kitchen is available in a choice of neutral high gloss colours – cream, white and cashmere – and a gorgeous matt grey. All of the colours work well, but in our opinion, the matt grey option is stunning, particularly teamed with the contrast of the Amtico Linden oak stripwood tile flooring. We’d happily have this kitchen!
Like the Nova, there’s an excellent deal to be had if you buy the Luna kitchen now in the winter sale. The 12 unit option is currently priced at just £3,430 – a great saving for such a stylish kitchen design.
Embarking on a kitchen update
One of the advantages of updating your kitchen is that you can make it work better for you. If you’re not happy with the current layout, would prefer your cooker at eye-level rather than below the counter, or would simply like to add in or take out certain appliances, then exploring how you could make better use of the space is well worth it.
Of course, you’ll want to ensure any changes will be right and work as effectively in reality as they do in your mind, so it’s good to get help from experts. Magnet offer free design appointments in-store, where you can meet a kitchen designer and discuss your kitchen requirements. It’s a great way to discover exactly how your space could work and get advice on all the clever ways that your kitchen could be designed.
If you’re interested in a free design appointment, just fill in the form on their site, select your preferred store, day and time, and they’ll get back to you to confirm the details.

I really like the Luna one! Good luck with sorting your new kitchen
Thanks, lots of planning involved!
I think the Luna kitchen is my favourite. Loved the curved edges. Great post x
Yes, I love those curved edges too.
My head is filled with kitchen ideas at the moment. We’re moving soon and the kitchen in the new house is not to my taste. I’m currently dithering over painting it before we replace it in a couple of years. It’s so important to get it right though because they’re so expensive.
Oh, I know that feeling! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
I love looking at pictures of designs. We built a home 13 years ago and now I am changing things on a small scale. This helps me implement things for a different look without breaking the budget.
That’s a good idea to do things on a small scale, definitely more wallet-friendly.
Seems that kitchen improvements are on all our minds lately. The Luna is lovely x
All of these are like, my dream kitchen. My god. So pretty.
I would give my left arm for any of these kitchens! Ok not really, but they’re all gorgeous!!!
I’m quite happy with our kitchen since we refreshed it a bit. However, the use of space could definitely be better. Plus Magnet have some great space saving designs.
