Looking for a new sofa? We’ve been exploring the designs and styles available at Darlings of Chelsea and have found these five sofas that are all sophisticated and stylish, and have some fab design features to boot. Here’s a rundown of our favourites.
The Milano sofa
The Milano is a beautifully made corner sofa that’s offers perfect seating for a contemporary home. With its chrome ski-style legs, it’s a sleek and stylish Italian-style design and available in a range of fabrics. It’s lovely to have a nice wide arm on one side for a comfortable armrest, but the feature that makes this a stand-out sofa for us is the flexibility of the headrests.
The headrests are designed so that you can have the back of the sofa low, with the headrests down, or high, with a comfy place to rest your head. All five of the headrests are adjustable, so you can have a mix of some up, some down. This makes it super flexible and is a great design feature.
The Studio sofa
If you love the classic 60s mid-century modern designs, then you’ll love the Studio lounger sofa. This bold and contemporary sofa, with its sleek wooden legs, stands out thanks to its button detail upholstery and extra long chaise lounge style seat. If you can’t wait to sit down and put your legs up after a hard day at work, this sofa is calling out for you to do just that.
The sofa is available in a choice of different fabrics, but we love the rich, luxurious feel of the velvet upholstery and bold colours go well with the design of this piece of living room furniture.
Orlando sofa
Another contemporary Italian design, the Orlando sofa is rectangular in style with soft quilted details on the arms. Β One of the key benefits of this sofa is that it’s a fully customisable design. This means that you can choose the modular elements you want so it becomes your perfect sofa. Here it’s shown as a three seater, but if a corner sofa meets your requirements more, then it can easily be achieved.
We particularly like the option to include electric reclining seats, for the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. The sofa is available in a choice of fabric and Italian leather upholstery and the latter looks particularly at home with the design.
Waterford corner sofa
If you love the idea of a corner sofa, but aren’t sure you’ve got enough room to fit one in, meet the Waterford sofa. This is a corner sofa that’s designed to be compact. It’s still got plenty of seating capacity, but without taking up too much floor space.
This is one of those sofas that you instantly want to sit on. Its plump cushions are oozing with cosiness and it’s easy to imagine being happily curled up on this sofa watching a film, or reading a good book. It may be more compact than some designs, but it certainly doesn’t lack comfort.
The Venice sofa
Super sleek and contemporary, the Venice sofa is not just an ordinary corner sofa. In fact, there’s an option to have it as a sofa bed too. As sofa beds go, this is one stylish design, especially as it can transform into a double bed – great if you’re short on space and need somewhere comfortable for guests to sleep.
It’s nicely made, looks fabulous in a super soft leather finish and totally ticks all the boxes for modern, functional style.
What’s your favourite design and upholstery finish?

Waterford corner sofa. I need this in my life. My 2nd hand leathers are a bit worn and dated now!
