Fresh Design trend: Knitted effect clock

November 6, 2012 By Rachel Newcombe 1 Comment

Autumn winter new home trends
Knit trend wall clock

Forget knitted jumpers, why not kit your home out with some knit inspired homeware?

All things knitted are on trend this season, from cosy knitted poufs to knit effect vases, and you can even invest in a knitted effect clock.

The wall clock looks like it’s been fully knitted from wool, but actually it’s made of ceramic which has been given a clever knitted pattern design.

It looks really different and as if it could be a designer piece, but in fact this one is very affordable. The knitted effect clock was originally priced at just £22 from Very, but you can currently get your hands on it for just £19.

It’s awesome. I love the cuoolrs.I tried to do similar last year crochetting a rug out of strips of leftover fabric. It was something of an epic fail. The hook I had meant that the crochet was too tight, and I massively underestimated the amount of fabric I would need to make even a small-rug-sized thing. The result only good enough to be put to use as a catflap doormat, for my cats to avoid wiping their feet on when they come in out of the rain. They prefer to make a beeline for the nearest warm person, preferably someone who is wearing clean or new clothes.
