Do you decorate your home for Easter? With Easter fast approaching, we’ve been thinking about what seasonal decorations we could use around the home and have been on a visit to Homesense for inspiration!
Thankfully there were plenty of ideas to be had and, after a good browse, we came away with some lovely products.
Just in case the daffodils and spring flowers have gone over in the garden by Easter weekend, we picked up a bunch of realistic looking artificial daffodils and a lovely branch of forsythia, which look great together in a vase.
The gold tone rabbits were all by the brand Modern Bunny, with the two smaller ones sold as a pair. They’re cute enough to do the trick for Easter decorating, without looking twee. The large one is priced at £3.99, as is the pair of two smaller bunnies.
As a centrepiece for a table decoration, we couldn’t help but fall for this two tier decorative silvertone cake stand (£14.99). The fluted design sets it apart from other cake stands and it’s a piece that can be used time and time again, not just at Easter. We’ve filled it up with colourful wrapped mini Easter eggs, also from Homesense, and it works a treat.
We’re resisting tucking into them yet – honest!
If you like the idea of having an Easter tree, then you’ll also find plenty of mini hanging Easter decorations that you can use on a tree. We found wooden eggs, decorative metal butterflies and fabric birds, to name but a few, and they’re priced from only £1.99 each. Even though the tree is relatively small, if you pop it on a reflective or mirrored surface, it gives the impression of being bigger than it is.
This pink tin decorative egg is great to use for a decoration – a whole bowl of them would look great, for example. But it’s more than just a decoration, as there’s a rose scented Yardley soap hiding inside. The perfect Easter gift idea and only £2.99.
Easter at TK Maxx
If you haven’t got a Homesense store near you, then take a look at their sister store, TK Maxx, as they have plenty of Easter products in too. And if you don’t want to buy items that you can only use at Easter, there are lots of ideas that are suitable for incorporating into an Easter decor scheme – like a rabbit lamp, for example – but equally fine to use all year round.
Here are some of our top picks from TK Maxx:

Black and gold tone rabbit table lamp – £24.99
Portmeirion white water garden oval platter – £19.99
Kitchen Craft cream wire egg stand – £9.99

Thanks for sharing Rachel. I have two young girls and have been thinking about Easter decorating ideas with them. I spent all of yesterday blowing out the yolk of an egg and painting it but I think a trip to Homesense and TK Maxx may be in order! x

I’ve never traditionally decorated for Easter, but bringing in some beautiful spring blooms and ensuring there are a few chocolate eggs on standby is my usual port of call!

Ya know, I never decorate for Easter but now you’re tempting me. Those gold bunnies are just SO cute. Also, there is no way I’d be able to resist a big gorgeous centrepiece filled with chocolate eggs. #justsayin 😉 xx
