Hot on the heels of the Lovely Legs upcycled wall lamp come another clever upcycled lighting idea.
This chain of nautical style kilner jar lights are made from five upcycled clear glass kilner jars, which have been converted to form a set of effective lights.
The lights can be hung horizontally, vertically or draped around objects or furniture, and you can choose to have either brass or chrome fittings. Both colour fittings look good, but the brass is perhaps a tad more nautical in feel.
The kilner jar lights are made by young Cornish designer, Tom, who runs Unique’s. Other similar products, including a lovely kilner table lamp, are also available.

Recycled interior design is the best. Even though I don’t go as a professional in the field, I think it’s the most fresh idea you can introduce in the home.
I find recycled designs win the race in every category – be it aesthetics, efficiency, green/eco-friendly and downright interesting for your guests.
The jar light idea is amazing and I think if you pair it up with some custom paperwork on the jar, you can customise the lights as home to your liking, feel and atmosphere.
I have a similar set, made by a friend of mine, I glued some orange paper on the jar and patched figures on top, so every time I turn them on, they display a story on the farthest wall.
I find it pretty cool to turn them on, every time I’m in the mood to chill out at home.
Great idea overall !
