Would you choose one of these stools to go in your home? Do you love the design or loathe it?
The ceramic Bonze stools are part of the Xo range by designer Philippe Starck. Possibly not to everybody’s taste, the sculptural piece with a face in the base doubles up as both a stool and a small side table. It’s been produced in a range of colours, including platinum, gold, black and red, with the shiny finishes of the gold and platinum being quite glitzy and decorative.
You’ll probably have to really love the Bonze stool to buy it, as it’s not cheap. The black and red versions are £578, the gold is £644 and the platinum will set you back £693.

 Bargain patio set Argos currently have a clearance sale on and there are lots of home and garden items included. We spotted this stylish black rattan four piece patio set, with £10 off.
The set is made of black rattan, complemented with silver tubing, and comes with a small table and four folding chairs. The table folds flat for storage, which is great for keeping it inside a garage or shed during the winter months, and the chairs fold down too.
The four piece set is now only £79.99 at Argos and can be bought online or reserved for store pick-up.

M&S currently have up to 30% off selected furniture, for inside and outdoors. Included in the sale prices are this Arizona table and matching set of chairs.
The table is made from powder-coated steel and is finished off with a stylish toughened glass top – it even has an extra shelf underneath the table, which could be handy for putting magazines on or storing children’s toys whilst they’re playing outside in the garden.
The matching Arizona chairs are sold as a set of six and come complete with a comfortable cream cushion seat pad.
The table and chairs are sold separately, with the table priced at £135 and a set of six chairs for £199 at M&S.

Tub chairs are really comfortable for outdoor use, but this funky chair contains an LED light source, so it glows and provides some light as you sit outside when dusk is falling.
What’s more, it changes colour too – going through a series of seven different colour hues. Controllable via a small pocket sized remote control, the chair has a battery life of five hours and can easily be recharged again.
A matching coffee table, with the same abilities, is also available to complete the look. If you just want one piece, then a coffee table that lights up to tell you where to put your glass in the dark sounds perfect.

These alphabet tables are brilliant!
Designed by Andrew Martin, made from metal with a chrome finish, each of the tables is in the shape of a letter of the alphabet. The full range of letters is available so, if you wish (and if you can afford it), you could spell out names or messages with them.
Sadly they are a tad pricey, so we’ll only be buying the F, D and B tables (representing Fresh Design Blog, of course) if we win EuroMillions tonight.

I know it’s a bit early to think too much about dining outside on balmy days (one can but dream), but there’s no harm in planning ahead.
Table weights, which clip onto tablecloths, are a great way of securing a cloth on an outside table so that no unexpected gusts of wind accidentally ruffle the cloth and knocks glasses of drink over. They’re the kind of accessory that you can never find when you really need them, so why not stock up now?

Finally, a coffee table that the kids are allowed to draw on!
This quirky coffee table, by Duffy London, has a top made from chalkboard, so you can write on it, draw on it or make notes on it time and time again. Express your creativity by drawing pictures on it, or why not draw out a chequers, chess or draughts board outline on the table and play a game or two?

If you’re looking for a modern design coffee table, then how about this unusual rectangular tapered design?
The coffee table is quite chunky, but the tapering at the sides helps give it a more slimline look. It’s finished off with rounded edges, so you won’t get a nasty jab if you knock into it.
Finished in a lovely gloss lacquer with great reflective abilities, the table is available in black or teal.

We spotted these Nina Campbell napkins featured in the January 2010 issue of Easy Living magazine.
The pictures don’t really do them justice, but the crisp white napkins are subtlely decorated with either a butterfly or dragonfly design. They’re available embroidered in either silver or gold and measure 54cm by 54cm.
Although very simple, it’s an effective way of freshening up white napkins and adding an element of interest. They’d look lovely on any discerning dining table.
