I know it’s a bit early to think too much about dining outside on balmy days (one can but dream), but there’s no harm in planning ahead.
Table weights, which clip onto tablecloths, are a great way of securing a cloth on an outside table so that no unexpected gusts of wind accidentally ruffle the cloth and knocks glasses of drink over. They’re the kind of accessory that you can never find when you really need them, so why not stock up now?
These three gorgeous table weights, with their decorative glass beads, are all from Zara Home and are suitably stylish. There’s the bronze coloured Orson table weight, with its large mostacilla bead, the multi-coloured and vibrant Mathilde and the white beaded Limbert table weight.
Each of the table weights come in a set of four - one for each of the corners of your table cloth - and are available from Zara Home.

Finally, a coffee table that the kids are allowed to draw on!
This quirky coffee table, by Duffy London, has a top made from chalkboard, so you can write on it, draw on it or make notes on it time and time again. Express your creativity by drawing pictures on it, or why not draw out a chequers, chess or draughts board outline on the table and play a game or two?
The coffee table measures 100cm by 70cm by 35cm and can easily be wiped clean. It’s sold by Duffy London and is available from Bouf.

If you’re looking for a modern design coffee table, then how about this unusual rectangular tapered design?
The coffee table is quite chunky, but the tapering at the sides helps give it a more slimline look. It’s finished off with rounded edges, so you won’t get a nasty jab if you knock into it.
Finished in a lovely gloss lacquer with great reflective abilities, the table is available in black or teal.
You’ll find it available to buy from Dwell.

We spotted these Nina Campbell napkins featured in the January 2010 issue of Easy Living magazine.
The pictures don’t really do them justice, but the crisp white napkins are subtlely decorated with either a butterfly or dragonfly design. They’re available embroidered in either silver or gold and measure 54cm by 54cm.
Although very simple, it’s an effective way of freshening up white napkins and adding an element of interest. They’d look lovely on any discerning dining table.
The napkins are £6.99 each from Nina Campbell.

 Stylish storage stool
There’s nothing ordinary about this black leather stool.
The stylish stool is given extra appeal by its clever faceted look - not something you see all that often with stools like these.
What’s more, in addition to looking attractive, the faceted element comes into its own when the stool is opened up to reveal plenty of useful storage space inside.
It would be great for using for occasional seating needs, or even as a side table. Plus, it’s the ideal place to hide away all your clutter from prying eyes, helping your lounge, dining room, conservatory or bedroom look tidy.
The black leather Cado stool measures 47cm by 47cm by 46cm and is made to order from Amode.

 From table to tree
When you’re entertaining and setting a table for special occasions, it’s always nice to add finishing touches, like place names so people know where to sit.
These colourful baubles are designed to serve just that purpose and would be a lovely festive touch to add to your table.
The baubles come in a set of six, with the colours red, green, purple, gold, orange and dark red, and cost £16 from Not On The High Street.
What’s even better is, when you’ve finished with them as place name holders, all you need to do is find some ribbon to thread through the loops at the top, and they can be hung from your tree as decorations.

 Aeroplane wing table
Making contemporary furniture out of recycled items is something that Restore have got down to a fine art.
Thinking what came be done with an old aeroplane wing isn’t something most people would need to contemplate, but Restore have and they’ve turned the wing into a fab piece of furniture.
The Deborah table is made out of an old aluminium aeroplane wing. It’s been finished off with stainless steel legs and a tough glass top and it would make an unusual feature coffee table.
This special table does come with a rather special price tag - £1990 - but for plane lovers, or fans of truly unique recycled furniture, we’re sure it’s worth it.
If you like unique pieces, then there are many more innovate furniture ideas to explore on the Restore website.

 Funky loop table
It’s often hard to find really nice white tables, but this coffee table could fit the bill. It’s a modern, rectangular loop-shaped coffee table that comes in a white lacquer finish.
The funky loop table was designed by Lynne Wilson and is finished off by brushed aluminum feet. It’s a striking piece - perfect for any home striving to be modern and fresh - but has plenty of practical uses too.
You can buy the loop table from Funky Lifestyles, for £325.

Flower images are often found in a whole range of designs, but now Japanese designer, Shige Hasegawa, has created a rather funky flower inspired table.
The Hana Table is being exhibited during the 2009 Milan Furniture Fair. The flower design is based on traditional origami techniques (which usually involves folding paper, but in this instance it’s wood). Rather than having lots of screws and nails, the glass top is fixed to the base via the five plywood legs. This makes the table easy to assemble and perfect for flat-packing.
Wouldn’t it look great in your living room?
