The homeware sales seem to get earlier each year – they always used to start around the last week of June, first week of July – but many have kicked off already. The latest shop to launch their sale is Heal’s, who have up to 50% off a wide range of home accessories, furniture, lighting and other products.
Here are some of the bargains we spotted:
These rectangular silk douppion cushions are available in a great selection of colours. They’re now half price, at only £15 each.
Large chrome light
If you’re after a large, oversized chrome lounge light, then this one has £80 off the usual price.
Maxwell & Williams dinnerware set
This turqouise blue patterned 16 piece Maxwell and Williams Belle Jardine dinnerware set, which includes 4 dinner plates, 4 bowls, 4 side plates and 4 mugs, is half price in the sale.
There are loads more great offers in the Heal’s sale, so we recommend taking a look!

Lampshades needn’t be boring, as these fun and funky Loopy Lu lampshades clearly demonstrate!
Made from eco-friendly polypropylene, the unusual design lampshades are available in a wide variety of bold and vibrant colours.
They’re suitable for use with energy saver bulbs and can take between 20 and 60 watts.
The lampshades come as a kit – you can find out how to put them together by watching this instruction video.
The Loopy Lu lampshades were originally £40 each, but are now reduced down to £30 each from Lothair Hamann.

I love the designs and offerings from Missoni Home, but they’re sadly not always budget friendly.
However, thanks to the sale at Amara, some of the lovely Missoni Home items are reduced, including this bright and cheery Parma flower bath mat.
The bath mat has a heavy weight towelling finish and is predominantly the fiery colours of bright red and orange, with a small dash of yellow and hot pink added in.
The Parma flower bath mat measures 80cm in diameter and, if you think it’s far too nice to simply be hidden away in the bathroom, you could always use it as a rug instead!
The red and orange Parma bath mat was £92, but is now reduced to £73.60 in the Amara sale. Don’t forget to check out the other sale bargains too!

There are some great sofas available that combine the retro 1950s style with contemporary design and this is just one of them. The simple and elegant lines of this Mistral sofa, which is exclusive to Heal’s, with its buttoned back cushions and small cone oak feet come together to provide a stylish and comfortable sofa.
The texured wool olive green fabric is a lovely colour (expect to see more fresh green trends in furniture and homeware as new spring 2011 arrivals emerge) and works well with the light oak feet.
If green isn’t for you, other colours are available, including cocoa, mushroom, emerald and puce.
The Mistral sofa is available in two sizes, plus there’s a matching one person love seat, and all options are currently reduced in the Heal’s sale. The Mistral medium sofa is now £1480, the large sofa is £1560 and and the loveseat is £1140.

Leaf design clock
One of the best known names for designing modern and funky contemporary clocks is Karlsson.
Karlsson are responsible for many great clock designs and we’ve featured several over the last few years, including the DIY passe partout Karlsson clock, the book clock, the flower field glass clock and the black lotus clock.
The leaves design clock is another distinctive Karlsson design, which is oozing with character and colour. The clock mechanism (in the middle of the clock) comes separately to the colourful leaf shapes, giving you the chance to put the clock together on the wall as you see fit.
You can arrange the leaves in the way shown here or create your own new look. Clocks have never been so fun!
The Karlsson leaves clock was £55, but is now only £39.95 in the sale at Dutch by Design.

Seletti milk jugs
These rather glam milk jugs would add a bit of sparkle and interest to your kitchen.
Although they look like they’re made from metal, they’re created from robust and heavy porcelain.
The Seletti milk jugs are available in a choice of gold, silver or a plain white (gold and silver have to be hand washed, whereas plain old white is dashwasher safer). The milk jugs are in the sale at Pedlars, so are now £11.75 each.

We somehow missed them off our list of the top 30 places to get online sale bargains, but the lovely Graham and Green is well worth a visit at the moment, as they have up to 70% off in their bumper online sale.
Some of the lovely things we spotted include:
This gorgeous French style writing desk, which is painted in a beautiful sea green colour. It’s got lots of storage space and a good amount of room to pop a laptop or netbook on top, along with space to write in a notebook.
If I had room to house this in my home, I’d be buying it in a shot. The French writing desk is now £486.50 (was £695).
The Manhattan mirrored chest of drawers is part of a contemporary range of furniture designed by Jamie Graham. The multi-angled mirrors are very unusual and, as well as looking good and providing three drawers of storage, the chest will also help add more light and interesting reflections in your room.
The Manhattan mirrored chest of drawers was originally £725, but is now reduced to £507.50 in the sale.
Chic magazine storage
It’s lovely to relax in the living room with magazines and newspapers, but they can so easily create an untidy mess when left on the floor or table. This stylish faux snakeskin cream magazine basket offers a chic way of keeping newspapers and magazines tidy and organised.
It’s finished off with an adjustable handle, making it easy to move around. The leather-look magazine rack was priced at £55, but is reduced to £38.50 in the sale.
These elliptical cut glass mirrored placemats have a floral detai in the centre and would add a touch of class to a table. They come packaged in a gift box so would make a nice present.
The mirror placemats are 25cm in size and are now priced at £9.75 (was £19.50).
