Elegant pendant lamp
Simple but impressive, this Aquarius pendant lamp draws on the influences of the traditional Japanese origami style lights.
Although the folds on this light are less dramatic than other pendant designs, the effect is equally pleasing and the end result is an elegant pendant lamp that will work in any small to moderately sized room.
It’s very affordable too, as it’s currently reduced to £49 from Fashion For Home.

Simple, yet stylish lamp
It’s a bit unusual to find a lamp called ‘Just Married’, but this one gets its name for a very good reason!
This funky contemporary light basis its ironic design on the tin cans that are so often attached onto the back of a newly wed couple’s car, dangling and banging as they drive away.
Thankfully the light does look far more tasteful than an old tin can though, and is made up of seven white aluminium ‘tin cans’ suspended by red flex. The flex can be shortened to your required length.
The Just Married bundle lamp is available to purchase from Dutch by Design.

Flower design light shade
There are some stunning lights and light shades available, but some pieces aren’t very budget-friendly. This lovely hanging flower light shade, though, looks more expensive than it actually is.
Made from recycled polypropylene by Yorke Design, the curved petals of the water lily inspired design come in a flat pack and take a short amount of time to carefully crease and clip them together, as per the instructions.
The end result is a really effective and eye-catching light shade that looks like it cost a lot more than it actually did.
The hanging flower light is only £29.95 from Yorke Design. Definitely worth investing in!
They also do a light shade called Snow, with more ponited petals, which is £24.95.

Multiple pendant lights
Pendant lighting continues to be a popular choice for home interiors. Whilst single pendant lights look elegant hung from the ceiling, when grouped together, they can create quite a different impact and look.
These glass drop pendant lights, which are made in England, are available as a single light or as a group of pendants. If all you need is one light, then a single pendant does the job fine. But put together, a group of pendants looks stunning and can make quite a statement.
The pendant ceiling lights are sold by Graham and Green and you can either buy one, a group of six or a massive group of 11 drops. The groups of pendant lights are sadly not cheap (one light is £112), but if you want the wow factor for your lighting and your budget can stretch that far, then these lights would look stunning in your home.

Aperture large pendant shade
It’s been a long wait, but Habitat have finally launched a full online store.
You could previously buy furniture online, but missed out on the wide selection of home accessories that they also sell. So this new development means that you can at last browse through more of their product offerings online and get to buy them, which is great if you don’t live near a store.
Here’s a selection of some of the goodies on offer.
The aperture origami large pendant shade is designed by Claire Norcross for Habitat. Rather cleverly, each aperture on the shade can be opened or closed, which creates unique reflections on walls.
The large shade measures 58cm diameter and is available for £65. A smaller version, which is 32cm in diameter, costs £45.
Part of the Concetta range, the lively bone china dinner plate on the right has an eclectic mix of photo images and drawings and is ideal for those who want a more unusual style of dinnerware. The dinner plate is £10.
This buildings design rectangular tray is specially designed by Telegramme for Habitat. It’s colourful, practical and a bargain at only £5.
