Contemporary and modern home wall clock

Colour swatch inspired clock

At Fresh Design Blog we love a good contemporary wall clock and this Watch Me wall clock from Normann Copenhagen is up there amongst our favourites.

The simplistic clock design is inspired by swatches of colour that fan out to produce an eye-catching mix of colours and it’s available in a choice of different colour shades.

The clock was designed by Danish designer Rasmus Gottliebsen for Normann Copenhagen. As we can often be found drooling over paint and wallpaper colour swatches, the design seems very apt for us!

The Watch Me wall clock is available from various retailers, including Caroline McGrath, who sell it for £35.

Design company Normann Copenhagen have turned their attention to the humble tin opener – and tin openers have got sexy.

When you see this designer tin opener, it’s not a surprise where it gets its name from, as the handle is designed in the shape of a butterfly wing.

The Butterfly tin opener is made from stainless steel with a plastic handle and it’s aimed at being both ergonomic and a handy size to keep in a kitchen drawer.

It was designed by Marianne Britt Jørgensen and Rikke Hagen for Normann Copenhagen and is a fresh design on an age-old kitchen essential.

Available in four colours (blue, green, purple and orange) and priced at only £4.88 from Bodie and Fou, you can’t go wrong with this kitchen buy.

Designer herb garden storage stand

Herb pot stand

Have you got a few odd pots of herbs lingering on your kitchen windowsill? Here’s a neat solution to keep them stylishly organised.

The white flowerpot design herb stand is designed by Jakob Heiberg for Normann Copenhagen and features a modular design. At its basic, there’s place to store one or two pots of herbs – but if you need room for more, you can use the built in saucers as extra space.

A slimline compartment at the back of the stand provides space for the accompanying scissors, so you’ll always have them ready when you want to cut a few herbs for cooking.

The Normann Copenhagen white flowerpot herb stand is available from Made in Design for £28.20.

It comes apart really well for cleaning. As well as looking great on your windowsill, it looks pretty cool viewed from above, too!

Collect designer bookcase

Collect designer bookcase

This designer bookcase certainly ticks all the boxes for originality and design.

The Collect bookcase is made from pine and comes in a vivid green colour (they say ‘spring green’, we say ‘lime’).

Made in Denmark, it was designed by Ole Jenson for Normann Copenhagen and is part of the New Danish Modern furniture series.

The bookcase is unusual and eye-catching and we’re sure you’d have a lot of fun arranging all your books or treasures on its shelves.

Sadly the price tag may cause a sharp intake of breath, as it’s priced at £2,400, from Bodie and Fou.
