Compact, convenient and well designed, this Irvin storage mirror combines the practicality of a mirror with some useful storage.
The Irvin mirror was designed by Conran as part of their range for Marks and Spencer. This piece of furniture is great, as it’s solid, sturdy and multi-functional. You get all the benefits of a full length mirror, but there also multiple shelves and a useful hook incorporated into the design too.
The slimline design makes it ideal for using in a narrow room where you have limited space for a bulky piece of furniture, or in a corner of a room.
We can see it working very well in a hallway (there’s a place to leave your keys, hang your coat and a mirror to use to brush your hair as you leave your house in a rush) or in a bedroom where you want to provide guests with a mirror and some shelves, but have limited space for anything bigger.
The contemporary storage mirror is made from oak veneer and, although it arrives flat packed, will be put together for you by the M&S delivery company.
Usually priced at £329, the Irvin storage mirror is currently reduced to £263.20 in the Home Event at M&S (runs until 25 Feb 2013). We think this looks like a great buy for a good looking, sturdy piece of furniture that should last well.

If you’re a fan of Conran’s designer home accessories, then head over to M&S now, as there’s a selection of them reduced by 50% and more in their January sale.
We love the glass apothecary bottles and the vegetable vases, with their ribbed and textured finishes. One on its own, or three grouped together, look great and it’s more affordable to buy several when they’re half price.
The ceramic wall clock, with its smooth and simple lines, effortlessly tells the time and is a great design for a contemporary home.

 Rainbow glass carafe Marcel Wanders has designed some colourful products for the current season at Marks and Spencer and we can’t help but love this carafe water jug.
The handmade glass carafe has a striking rainbow striped design in the middle – it’s very eye-catching!
The carafe would be perfect for serving water in at the table, or to use to have water in by your bed, to quench your thirst if you get thirsty during the night.
The Marcel Wanders striped carafe is priced at £25 and matching hi ball glasses and tumblers (both £9.50 each) are also available.

After the success of their first range of products at M&S in the autumn, there’s a new selection of items designed by Conran available at Marks and Spencer.
This time around, it’s hard to pick just a few favourites, as there are so many lovely pieces. Here are a few examples:
 Conran Amis sofa The large Amis sofa, with its gentle curves, is oozing in comfort. It’s available in a choice of Conran-exclusive fabrics. Some of the other pieces in the rest of the room include the Conran Brindley open shelving unit, the Conran Turned Pedastal table lamp and the Conran Kilim patchwork rug.
 Conran Coleridge seating
As a change from a sofa, the contemporary modular seating units are perfect for creating your own seating arrangement. The Coleridge corner chair can be teamed with the Coleridge one seater to create small or large seating configurations. A matching Coleridge footstool is available too. We love the bold red against the wooden floor, but other colour choice options are available.
 Harrison bedstead For the bedroom, Conran has designed this pure and simple Harrison white bedstead, adorned with their Spring check bedding range.

 Dock your ipod M&S have a great, one-off special deal for all gadget lovers today – the UFO iPod dock is on sale for half price.
The black iPod docking station, which is UFO shaped, is perfect for recharging your iPod, or listening to music in a variety of rooms. It’s also got an FM tuner built in and an alarm clock, so you could use it to wake you up in the morning.
It’s normally priced at £69, but if you catch it quick, you can snap it up for only £34.50.

Sir Terrence Conran has recently produced a collection of homeware and furniture that’s available exclusively at M&S.
It’s great to see designer pieces introduced onto the high street and is a good introduction to his style for anyone unfamiliar with it.
If you’re looking for something new for your home and fancy a bit of designer style, then it’s well worth taking a look at the collection, as it includes furniture, homeware and home accessories.

 Statement daybed If you’re keen to relax and unwind in pure comfort, then a day bed that can be used outside in the garden, in the warmth of a conservatory or elsewhere in your home, provides the ultimate in relaxation.
This modern Oslo day bed looks like it should be sold in a designer furniture store, but surprisingly, it’s from Marks and Spencer.
Part of the Autograph range of outdoor furniture, the Oslo day bed is very much a statement day bed, with a modern design and cuved overhead canopy. It’s made from an open weave rattan-like material, and the canopy has an aluminium frame.
Strangely, the Oslo daybed is sold in two parts – the daybed itself, then the canopy and cushions are purchased separately.
