 Set of candle jars
We’re firm believers in shopping around to get the best buy (after all, for many of us, any money saved is a great help) and try and provide a good balance of products for all budgets through this blog.
In the case of this set of candle jar votives, we were all set to include details of where you get them for just shy of £10, when we came across somewhere else selling the identical product for even less! Even when the cost of postage is taken into consideration, they still worked out as being a lot cheaper.
So if you’d like to get your hands on this black and white set of three glass candle jars, which are part of the House Doctor DK range of products, head over to Ruby Roost, where they’re only £7.50 for the set (p&p is £3.50).
Each glass votive has a different design and they work well grouped together or used individually. They’d also make a perfect, affordable Christmas present.

 Modern Tequila chair
This modern black and white Tequila lounge chair is a comfortable, sleek and stylish seat.
Made out of gloss-coated thermoplastic, the outside of the chair is finished in a shiny white, which contrasts perfectly with the black faux-leather of the inside of the chair seat.
The seat is perched on a polished chrome stand and provides just the right amount of ‘swing-a-bility’, as it swivels around.
Use it in your lounge, study or home office. In addition to the black and white, several other colour combinations are available.
The Tequila lounge chair was £239, but is now reduced down to only £129 (including VAT) at Fashion For Home.

The close up photo of this wall art looks like dainty biscuits on a baking tray, but they’re actually porcelain buttons and not the slightest bit edible at all!
Created by Lauren Denney, this unusual piece of wall art looks effective in its monotone colours and features 24 handmade white porcelain buttons on a black background. The picture comes framed and ready to be hung on a wall.
You can buy the porcelain button wall art picture from Lauren Denney’s store; whilst there, it’s worth checking out her other handmade ceramic homeware creations too.

 Zebra storage trunks
If you’re wooed by animal print designs, then this striking black and white zebra print storage trunks by Fab and Funky are oozing in style and practicality.
The set of two storage trunks – one small, one medium – would be perfect for use in many rooms of your home. Hide all your living room clutter in them, store handbags inside them in your bedroom, or you could even use them for storing spare bedding or guest towels.
The luxury trunks are finished off with leather trims and studding and, when they’re not both in use, the samller size fits compactly inside the medium one.
The funky zebra print storage trunks cost £265 for the pair and can be purchased from Fab and Funky.

Jasmine Way have a great new selection of super funky cardboard stools in stock.
The stools were all created by Stefanie Keppler and Ingo Fremer from Remember, a German design company. They’re decorated in a range of colourful designs – we particularly love Signale, which is reminiscent of the colours and design of the famous TV test card – but the multicoloured mosaic, black and white Palazzo and eastern-inspired Marrakech design are all equally nice.
The corrugated cardboard stools can take weights of up to 200kg and can be used as an occasional seat, side table or even a bedside table. Each of the designs costs £23 each and they’re available to buy from Jasmine Way.
Which would you choose?

Liberty of London recently teamed up with American retail brand, Target, to produce a range of exclusive products. Amongst their homeware collection, is this stunning Dunclare black and white print teapot.
The white teapot is adorned with the large floral print. The handle is black and white, the spout is white and there’s a nice finishing touch of black on the lid of the pot.
The Dunclare black print teapot is available to purchase online from Liberty, for £20. If you like the design, there’s a matching Dunclare dinner plate available for only £6, a set of three Dunclare stoneware bowls for £25 and a large platter plate for £20. Whilst browsing through the Monsoon Home website looking for bedding ideas, we got completely waylaid by these two table lamps.
 Monsoon Yasuko table lamp
The Yasuko table lamp has a very bold black and cream print lampshade with a jolly design that’s a bit reminiscent of sun bursts. It’s coupled with a glossy black ceramic base. With monotone designs being so on trend at the moment, this lamp really stood out and I could see it fitting in well with many a decor scheme (it sells for £100).
 Monsoon Esita table lamp
We probably wouldn’t normally go for a purple and pink lamp, but the Esita table lamp caught our eye as being very tall and elegant and the more we look at it, the more it’s growing on us. The base is made from chrome and finished off with a pewter effect and features a stacked ball design going up the stem.
The silk shade has an all over floral and leaf design, filled in with a pale pink. As well as toning in very well with the colour scheme on the Monsoon website, it’s somehow appealing and would look lovely in a room with shades of purple and a statement wall with deep purple wallpaper or even in a room with relatively neutral decor. Alternatively, you could always change the lampshade and add one of your choice. The Esita table lamp is £65.
