 Glass table lamp
We love this elegant ombre table lamp, from Next.
The glass base is the eye-catching part of this lamp - it’s nicely shaped, but goes from a deep teal colour to a light blue. It’s accompanied by a faux silk teal shade, although you could replace this for a lighter colour if you wish.
The lagoon ombre table lamp is available from Next, where it’s priced at £35.

 Stylish monotone lamp
It’s amazing how the base of a lamp can totally change its look. If this one was just a plain colour, it would probably be very easily missable, but the striking cream and black design draws the eye in immediately.
The cream base is made of ceramic and is decorated with a lovely black design, and it’s accompanied by a plain black faux linen drum-style lamp shade.
For a stylish lamp that will turn heads - for all the right reasons - and provide some essential light in a dark corner, then this Felicity table lamp is £65 from Very.

 Aperture large pendant shade
It’s been a long wait, but Habitat have finally launched a full online store.
You could previously buy furniture online, but missed out on the wide selection of home accessories that they also sell. So this new development means that you can at last browse through more of their product offerings online and get to buy them, which is great if you don’t live near a store.
Here’s a selection of some of the goodies on offer.
The aperture origami large pendant shade is designed by Claire Norcross for Habitat. Rather cleverly, each aperture on the shade can be opened or closed, which creates unique reflections on walls.
The large shade measures 58cm diameter and is available for £65. A smaller version, which is 32cm in diameter, costs £45.
Part of the Concetta range, the lively bone china dinner plate on the right has an eclectic mix of photo images and drawings and is ideal for those who want a more unusual style of dinnerware. The dinner plate is £10.
This buildings design rectangular tray is specially designed by Telegramme for Habitat. It’s colourful, practical and a bargain at only £5.
There are lots more gorgeous items to drool over on the Habitat website, so do go and check them out!

 Milk bottle lamp chandelier
Designed by Tejo Remy for Droog, the milk bottle lamp is one seriously unusual chandelier.
The design features a dozen recylced milk bottles which have been fitted with internal bulbs. The milk bottles each have their own pendant power line, then they’re hung together to form a hanging chandelier type light. As is typical with Tejo Remy’s designs, it’s environmentally friendly and unusual.
For lovers of modern and contemporary design, then this is a great statement light to have in your home and will definitely attract attention.
The chandelier measures 300cm by 27cm by 37cm and you can purchase it from Dutch By Design for £815.

Whilst browsing through the Monsoon Home website looking for bedding ideas, we got completely waylaid by these two table lamps.
 Monsoon Yasuko table lamp
The Yasuko table lamp has a very bold black and cream print lampshade with a jolly design that’s a bit reminiscent of sun bursts. It’s coupled with a glossy black ceramic base. With monotone designs being so on trend at the moment, this lamp really stood out and I could see it fitting in well with many a decor scheme (it sells for £100).
 Monsoon Esita table lamp
We probably wouldn’t normally go for a purple and pink lamp, but the Esita table lamp caught our eye as being very tall and elegant and the more we look at it, the more it’s growing on us. The base is made from chrome and finished off with a pewter effect and features a stacked ball design going up the stem.
The silk shade has an all over floral and leaf design, filled in with a pale pink. As well as toning in very well with the colour scheme on the Monsoon website, it’s somehow appealing and would look lovely in a room with shades of purple and a statement wall with deep purple wallpaper or even in a room with relatively neutral decor. Alternatively, you could always change the lampshade and add one of your choice. The Esita table lamp is £65.

 Cleva table lamp
Table lamps can sometimes be a bit boring and uninspiring, but this one certainly isn’t. In fact, at first glance it doesn’t even really look much like a table lamp.
The base of the table lamp is a wooden square, slatted box and the main part of the light forms a pillar which stands inside the box. Gold thread is wound around the pillar and, when lit, the lamp emits a lovely golden, glowing light.
The Cleva table lamp is available from John Lewis for £34 and would fit in well with an eco, cream or natural colour schemes.

 Melody table lamp
We’ve fallen in love with this beautiful table lamp! Made of ceramic, the rounded globe-like lamp features a gorgeous all-over cutwork design.
When it’s turned on, the light shines through the cutwork holes, creating fun patterns on the table and walls. When it’s not in use, it simply looks pretty and stylish and livens up the centre of any table. Wouldn’t it look gorgeous on yours?
The Melody table lamp is sold by John Lewis for £39.
