We’ve long been smitten with the design and style of the sleek and stylish Linea Harry sofa range and this duck egg blue, with its contrasting dark stained legs, is a great colour for updating a living room for spring.
The contemporary furniture range is exclusive to House of Fraser, but the good news is that there’s currently up to 50% off the usual prices.
The discount applies to the Harry armchair, the large Harry three seater sofa and the compact two seater sofa.

We love a good day bed.
They’re comfortable, relaxing and a great alternative to a sun lounger for using outside. Here are three well designed and gorgeous looking dream day beds!
Dune day bed
The Dune day bed, by Barlow Tyrie, is an elegant piece of furniture for a contemporary garden. It’s made from hand-woven resin fibre which is weatherproof and has plenty of space to curl up on. It’s available from John Lewis.
Atlantic day bed
A lot of daybeds tend to have rounded cover shades, but we love the look of this Atlantic Daybed, that’s produced in a tipi tent style. It’s from House of Fraser.
Padstow day bed
Compared to the two other options, the Padstow day bed is somewhat more affordable, but is still equally well styled. We particular the addition of some hidden storage, so you can stash away your suncream, shades, books or magazines. This one’s available from Tesco.

Stylish Harry sofa
This super sleek, ultra modern sofa is in a rich aubergine purple shade and is a great statement sofa for a room.
The buttoned back and curvy sides is reminiscent of classic 50s style and the sofa is made in a traditional way, with a hard wearing Vence aubergine fabric and stylish black stained conical legs.
The Linea Harry sofa three seater sofa was £999, but is now reduced down to £599 in the January sale at House of Fraser.
If purple isn’t your colour, the same popular design of sofa is also available in ecru white.

Unusual candle holder
This white ceramic candle holder is designed to look like the petals and leaves surrounding a flower head. But rather than a flower bud residing inside, you can pop in a tealight or other small candle.
The inside of the leaves are decorated in gold, so when the candle is lit, it emits a golden glow – perfect if you want to create a romantic feel in a room.
The Pied a Terre flower candle holder looks more expensive than it is – as it’s only £16 at House of Fraser.

At House of Fraser there’s currently up to 50% off dinnerware, serving dishes and glasses. Amongst the bargains, we spotted this Linea Eternal Silouhette dinnerware range, which is rather nice and half price.
Made from fine bone white china, the pieces have a delicate black floral design that, in most cases, runs over half the plate (or in the case of the mug, inside it too). The Eternal Silhoutte range includes dinner plates, salad plates, soup bowls, tea cups and saucers, and mugs, with prices now starting at a very reasonable £4 for a mug.
Also available in the sale are Denby Azure placemats, Linea Darcy tablelinen and the classic Denby Imperial Blue glassware.

Index style chopping board
We love this Joseph Joseph index chopping board set and now’s a great time to buy it, as there’s a big discount on the product at House of Fraser.
The chopping board set consists of a storage case with four colour-coded chopping boards in it – each has it’s own index tab, so you can easily tell which is which. It’s a great way of ensuring that each chopping board is used for chopping certain foods, like raw meats or vegetables, and their uses aren’t mixed up.
The white Joseph Joseph index chopping board set was £42, but is now down to only £24 at House of Fraser. Buy it before it sells out!
