 Contemporary daybed
What do you think of this contemporary design daybed?
Made by Japanese designer, Tokujin Yoshioka, the unusually shaped daybed is made from polyethylene and is designed so that you can lie back and relax.
The daybed is suitable for using both inside your home or outside in the garden and is available in white or black.
The Driade Tokyo Pop daybed is in stock at Mac and Mac Interiors.

We love a good day bed.
They’re comfortable, relaxing and a great alternative to a sun lounger for using outside. Here are three well designed and gorgeous looking dream day beds!
 Dune day bed
The Dune day bed, by Barlow Tyrie, is an elegant piece of furniture for a contemporary garden. It’s made from hand-woven resin fibre which is weatherproof and has plenty of space to curl up on. It’s available from John Lewis.
 Atlantic day bed
A lot of daybeds tend to have rounded cover shades, but we love the look of this Atlantic Daybed, that’s produced in a tipi tent style. It’s from House of Fraser.
 Padstow day bed
Compared to the two other options, the Padstow day bed is somewhat more affordable, but is still equally well styled. We particular the addition of some hidden storage, so you can stash away your suncream, shades, books or magazines. This one’s available from Tesco.

 Statement daybed
If you’re keen to relax and unwind in pure comfort, then a day bed that can be used outside in the garden, in the warmth of a conservatory or elsewhere in your home, provides the ultimate in relaxation.
This modern Oslo day bed looks like it should be sold in a designer furniture store, but surprisingly, it’s from Marks and Spencer.
Part of the Autograph range of outdoor furniture, the Oslo day bed is very much a statement day bed, with a modern design and cuved overhead canopy. It’s made from an open weave rattan-like material, and the canopy has an aluminium frame.
Strangely, the Oslo daybed is sold in two parts – the daybed itself, then the canopy and cushions are purchased separately.
Other matching items are also available in the Autograph Oslo garden furniture range at M&S.

 Luxurious outdoor furniture
There are some fabulous day beds available and, if I had the space available in my garden or a conservatory to accommodate it, I’d be buying one in a flash.
This espresso brown synthetic wicker day bed is on castors, so it can easily be rotated and moved around from sun to shade, or from indoors to outdoors. It comes with a comfy base cushion, but I’d add lots more cushions to it to create a comfy seat to relax on in the sun or read a book on.
One of the main benefits of day beds is their size – they’re perfect for sharing.
The Amadeus rotating daybed is available from John Lewis.
