Tree-shaped Christmas dishes
It’s nice to have a couple of seasonal pieces of crockery that you get out and use at Christmas. Although some of the offerings available are a bit OTT and garish, these reindeer dishes are quite fun.
Shaped like a Christmas tree, they’ve got a red pattern running around the rim of the dish, and a small reindeer and tree image in the middle.
If your Christmas colour scheme includes red, then they’d fit in perfectly.
The dishes come in a set of two, with the small measuring 19cm x 16cm x 3cm and the large 26cm x 20cm x 4cm (e.g. you’d fit a fair few nibbles on each!).
They’re £12.99 per set from Lakeland.

We read over on Decor8 about designer, stylist and author, Atlanta Bartlett’s, new online shop, Pale and Interesting and had to stop by and have a look.
The shop is well stocked with lots of lovely homeware, accessories and furniture, but the Modern Botanicals china caught our eye in particular.
Designed and drawn by Atlanta Bartlett, and produced by Big Tomato Company, the modern botanicals feature a range of striking black floral and insect images on creamy white china. As a nice added touch, some of the products, such as the eggcups and mugs, have either images or words inside them too.
There are plates, mugs, eggcups, jugs and teabag tidies in a selection of gorgeous designs. These include the tulip mug (£8.95), the fritillary butterfly mug (£8.95), the dragonfly eggcup (£7.95) and the bumblebee teabag tidy (£5). Check out more of the range here.

Modern floral teapot
Top designer, Zandra Rhodes, has created a new range of exclusive homeware products for M&S, including this striking black and white floral teapot.
The teapot is a nice, modern shape and the floral design is eye-catching. It’s priced at £25 from M&S.
If the design appeals to you, then there are various other matching pieces available too, so you can create your own set. For example, a dinner plate is £7.50, a pasta bowl is £7.50,a floral side plate costs £6, the sugar bowl is £9.50 and a bowl is £6.
We like the fact that, although all the pieces have an element of the floral design, they’re not all exactly the same – some have black flowers on a white background, others have a black background with white flowers, plus some pieces, like the pasta bowls, only have the design on part of the bowl. This helps make them more unique and unusual.
