Britain’s landscapes have been the inspiration behind many a wallpaper design. MissPrint’s latest wallpapers are inspired by the landscape of the snow capped mountains of Great Britain.
The mountains wallpaper collection offers a modern interpretation of mountainscapes and offers a bit of a change from MissPrint’s other designs, which often draw inspiration from flowers or trees (it’s by the same design company who created the lovely saplings wallpaper we featured previously).
There’s a lot of detail included in the line drawings of the mountains and the different colour patterns (mostly) reflect different times of day, with a few fanciful additions thrown in. There are five colourways – sunrise, red sun, blue moon, dusk and midnight. See below for more images of these colour options.
The MissPrint mountains wallpaper is available from retailers such as John Lewis, for £59.95 per roll.

 Brick design wallpaper
Textured effect wallpapers, like the log cabin stacked wood mural we featured recently, are all the rage at the moment.
If it’s a brick wall effect you’re after, then here’s a great wallpaper design that’s super affordable.
The bricks wallpaper is from Next and helps create the effect of a well worn textured brick wall.
As you’d expect with a normal wall, some of the bricks look more worn than others, with pale shades running through them, whilst others have darker patches. Compared to some other similar wallpapers, these bricks have got just the right balance of colour to create a realistic brick wall effect.
The brick wallpaper is ideal for creating a feature wall – a whole room papered in this might be too much. At only £15 a roll from Next, it’s not going to break the bank if you want to give it a try!

Bold, graphic and contemporary – we think these three words sum up the wallpaper range by Evil Robot Designs very well.
If you like decorating with wallpaper that is certainly not run-of-the-mill, then these designs could fit the bill, as they are graphic designs at their best.
We’ve been meaning to write about them for months, since they were launched in May at Clerkenwell Design Week.
It Came From Beneath The Sea is a bold red wallpaper featuring a swirl of black and white octopus tentacles.

It Came From Outer Space is inspired by B-movies and features a graphic print of a flying saucer invasion.

From a distance, the white and grey pinstripe design of The Three Laws of Robotics wallpaper looks quite tame. But once you see it close up you realise that each stripe consists of robots and cyborgs fighting!

What do you think of the designs and would you decorate your home with them?

Miss Print specialises in producing contemporary wall coverings, fabrics and other interior products and one of the designs we’re particularly fond is Saplings.
Their designs are hand drawn and take influence from nature, and that’s especially the case with Saplings, which is a characteristic leaf stem design.

The Saplings wallpaper is available in a choice of six different colours and it’s amazing how different each one of them looks – the deep turquoise blue and gold stem design is great for creating a bold, statement wall, whereas the sunflower yellow and white is quite retro in style. The pink and white wallpaper design has a playful feel to it and the metallic gold on white helps add a reflective and glam look to a room.
Whilst some of the papers are matt, others have a metallic or pearlescent finish, which helps add shine, texture and and interest to the wall.
Heal’s has the Saplings wallpaper range available, plus other MissPrint designs.

If you love the design, then there are also matching drum lampshades available too, in a classic slate grey or a uplifting sunflower yellow, both made from silk.

 Farfalla butterfly wallpaper
If you thought butterfly wallpaper wasn’t for you, take a look at Osborne and Little’s Farfalla wallpaper.
Featuring brightly coloured and wonderfully detailed butterflies flitting across a black background with embellished fern leaves, the wallpaper looks stunning used to create a feature wall.
The dramatic black background works so well and helps the detail on the butterfly designs stand out even more.
The Farfalla wallpaper (‘farfalla’ being the Italian word for ‘butterfly’) is designed by Nina Campbell for Osborne and Little and is now available to purchase at John Lewis for £54 per roll.
If the black is too dark for you, then the same design is also available in a light champagne.

 Funky pink flamingo wallpaper
For a fun and striking wallpaper, how about adding pink flamingos to your wall?
It’s not the first pink flamingo wallpaper we’ve come across, as Cole and Son also do a flamingo design wallpaper, but this one is bold, bright and more suited to a contemporary home.
We love the combination of the deep purple background with the vibrant pink flamingos, but there’s an alternative, paler colour option if you’d prefer.
The flamingo wallpaper is affordably priced at only £18 a roll from Graham and Brown.

The biggest problem could be resisting the urge to circle or cross through the words as you find them….

Turner Pocock Cazalet (whose funky zebra and tennis wallpapers we’ve featured previously) have added a gorgeous new wallpaper design to their collection.
The Owlet wallpaper features a lovely owl design that was inspired by Catherine Cazalet’s love of owls. The contemporary style wallpaper is produced in a sketch-type manner, reflecting the fact that it is hand-drawn, with owls perched on circular swirls of vine leaves.
The wallpaper colour is Hague blue on warm white and the design works as well in adult spaces as adorning the walls of children’s rooms.
The Owlet wallpaper is sold in 10m rolls and costs £72 per roll (including VAT). It can be purchased from Turner Pocock Cazalet in the UK or The Wallpaper Collective in the US.
