 Cityscape coffee table
This contemporary style cityscape coffee table is not only oozing with great design, but it has some clever storage solutions built into the stylish base.
The base of the table is made from solid walnut and features a design reminiscent of a city skyline, with small office block buildings and tall skyscrapers nestling together. The table is created by Xor Designs, with each one individually made to order.
The top of the table is made from thick perspex, which enables the base design to be easily seen.
 Clear perspex coffee table
It’s within the base, and the skyscrapers, that the storage solutions can be found. There are well constructed spaces that work as a magazine rack, the perfect sized sections to hold your TV remote controls and other little hidden nooks and crannies.
 Magazine and remote control storage
It’s a clever coffee table design and, being made of solid wood, should be a long-lasting and functional piece of furniture.
The cityscape coffee table can be ordered from the Xor Designs store on Bouf.

 Decorative occasional table
The Kartell designs are always striking, but one of the pieces we’re particularly fond of is the T table.
The T side table is designed by Patricia Urquiola for Kartell and features a wonderfully decorative top that almost looks like it’s been embroidered.
The table is available in three heights, which work well used together, plus a variety of colour choices.
The Found Home Store have all three sizes available and the T-Table is priced from £149.

 Factory cart coffee table
For those of you basing your interior design scheme around industrial or urban chic themes, this factory cart coffee table could be the perfect addition to your home.
The top of the table is made from wood, with long panelling details on it. But the piece is brought to life by the addition of industrial style polished metal shiny wheels and hinge and bolt detailing in the corners of the table top.

If playful and creative are essential requirements in table design for you, then this clouds coffee table set by designer Mark Hark ticks all the boxes.
The unique coffee table set comes with three cloud design layers which you can put together to form a multi-dimensional cloudscape design. It’s fully functional as a table, but also makes a stunning feature in a room.
For those times when you need several small tables instead of one big one, the large cloud formation can be separated, so that you’ve got three individual tables to use.
The clouds coffee table set is available in white lacquered oak veneer, as well as walnut veneer (brown or black). The white tables are currently reduced from £339 down to £189 (including VAT) from Fashion 4 Home.

 Coffee table with storage
At face value, this Embrace oak coffee table looks like just that – one single table with a storage shelf underneath and space for magazines at the sides. But this nifty design has a clever element to it – it can be taken apart to form two coffee tables.
 And then there were two...
Designed by John Green and based on the Isokon Penguin Donkey, this award-winning furniture design is made from oak veneer and is an ideal addition to any modern home.
It would be perfect used as a coffee table in a living room, where you can stack books, CDs, DVDs or magazines along the storage shelf, but it would work equally well used in elsewhere in your home.
The Embrace oak coffee table storage unit costs £285 and can be purchased from Scarlet & Jones.

 Driftwood table
Furniture and home accessories made from driftwood have a unique appeal, not least as every item is individually created and no two are the same.
This round coffee table is made from reclaimed pieces of driftwood that are layered together to create the mushroom-like shape. To ensure the piece is fully usable as a table, a glass top is added (we guess this will also help preserve the wood too and prevent the top from becoming damaged).
As well as being a useful table, the driftwood creation is also a piece of art in its own right and provides a decorative centrepiece for a room.
The round driftwood coffee table costs £279 and can be purchased from Aflair.
If the round version isn’t quite to your taste or size requirements, then they also do a large rectangular driftwood coffee table and a driftwood drum side table.

Modern take on a baroque style
It’s always good to see modern interpretations of traditional styles, so we were interested to stumble across this baroque style coffee table.
Rather than being hand carved out of wood as a traditional table would have been, this modern version is made from methacrylate. It’s still got the ornate characteristics of baroque styles, but the modern material makes it fit in right at home in a contemporary house.
The Ligero coffee table is designed by Nada Se Leva and is available to purchase from Alle on Bouf. As well as black, it’s also available in clear or violet.

 Pink flamingo table
If you enjoy a sense of fun in your home furnishings, then how about this unusual pink flamingo table?
It’s been cleverly designed in the shape of a flamingo, with the two table legs angled in the same spindlely way as a flamingo. In order to balance the table and make it functional for using, the third table leg is designed to be like the head and long neck of a flamingo. It’s a really fun piece and, although rather quirky, has a certain degree of elegance about it.
As someone who’s been fascinated by seeing pink flamingos in the wild, the table very effectively captures the shape and activity of flamingos, especially the idea of the head dipping down into the water to hunt for food.
The pink flamingo table is available to purchase from Blue Sky via Bouf, a company run by a design graduate and ex-boat builder who now specialises in making furniture and cabinets.
If you can’t get enough of flamingos, then check out this post regarding pink flamingo wallpaper from Cosy Home Blog.
