It’s unusual to find basin sinks with much of a design around the outside of them (so many are plain), but Roca has produced some eye-catching designs with its Urban range.

Each of the modern square basins is decorated with a black and white urban city scene – choose from Barcelona, Berlin, New York or Shanghai – featuring the iconic landmarks best associated with each city.

The Roca Urban countertop basins are in stock at the Big Bathroom Shop. They’d be stunning in a bathroom, or even used in a kitchen.

Emmeline Simpson Bath Royal Crescent tea towel

Emmeline Simpson Bath cityscapes

Bath cityscape tea towel

A lot of the designers featuring cities and architectural landscapes in their work tend to focus on London, so it’s great to come across some city-inspired work that focuses on somewhere else – in this case, Bath.

Bristol-based Emmeline Simpson produces a range of products featuring designs inspired by cityscapes. This tea towel, for example, features a line drawing of the iconic view of the Royal Crescent in Bath – and having been there recently, it does so extremely well (although you probably wouldn’t see six hot air balloons passing by every day).

Made from 100% cotton and screen printed, the tea towel costs £8.95 from Emmeline’s shop on Not On The High Street.

As well as Bath cityscapes, you’ll also find homeware items in her store, such as mugs, coasters and prints, with images of Bristol and Oxford.

London cityscape tea light holder

Light a candle and see the London syline!

Light a candle and see the London skyline!

See the London skyline from the comfort of your own home, with the help of this rather novel tea light holder from Pedlars.

When a tealight is lit and put into the centre of this holder, the famous sights of the London skyline appear as an outline on the shade.

It’s cleverly done and a pleasant change from a plain old tea light holder.

The London cityscape tea light holder costs £18.50 from Pedlars.
