 24 carat gold platter
This lovely peacock feather design platter would be perfect for serving up some delicious Christmas party canapes on.
The white china porcelain platter features a reproduction of an original peacock feather embroidery design by Keith Murray, a Watts designer. The design is finished off with touches of 24 carat gold.
The Crown Hill Platter is currently reduced – it was £35.95 but is now only £19.18, from the Watts London store on Bouf.
If you like the design, snap it up now, as we understand this particular design may be being discontinued.

 Serve tapas in style
What would you expect to pay for a set of four small serving plates?
We think this set of white china rectangular plates, which are the perfect size for serving tapas or canapes, are a bit of a bargain, as they cost only £12.90.
The plates are elegant in design and the white colour will mix and match easily with other tableware and crockery.
The four piece tapas serving set can be purchased from Bon Prix.

 Novel measuring cup set
If you’re ever looking for some unusual measuring cups, then it’s well worth having a look to see if Anthropologie have any. They’ve previously sold some novel and fun measuring cups, and they’ve done it again with this milk bottle design.
At first glance, the bone china milk bottle looks like it’s one single piece, but when you look closer you realise it’s actually made up of several smaller measuring cups, which can each be used to measure out different quantities of ingredients.
When they’re not in use, they stack together to form this single milk bottle (there’s even some silver on the top like a milk bottle lid!) which can be used for decorative purposes in your kitchen.
The milk bottle measuring cups set costs £22 from Anthropologie.

These unusual illustrated bowls are part of the tableware collection by designer Martha Mitchell, a graduate from Nottingham Trent University.
Her unique ceramic collection features black and white illustrations from popular everyday food products on china bowls and other products. On the crisp bowl, for example, you’ll find tiny images of well known crisp packets, such as Wotsits, French Fries and Monster Munch.
On the sweet bowl, there are cute little images of sweet packets, such as Cadbury Eclairs, Pick ‘n’ Mix, Haribo Strawbs, Werthers Originals and Maoam Stripes.
All of the illustrations are applied by hand, so each piece is unique. The illustrated crisp bowl and illustrated sweet bowl are £12 each and would be perfect to use for Christmas entertaining or party nibbles.
There are lots more products in the range too that are worth a look, including a nice egg cup, mug and cake stand. All the illustrated products are available from Martha Mitchell Design’s online store.

Emma Bridgewater has some special Christmas china designs available, including these two mugs that we rather like.
There’s the blue and white running deer mug, which features a continuation of the design inside the mug too, and a green and red reindeer mug.
Both mugs are available in half pint size (£15.95 for the reindeer and £16.95 for the running deer) and also in a smaller baby mug size (£11.95 for the reindeer and £12.95 for the running deer), and can be purchased from Emma Bridgewater.
My favourite is definitely the blue and white running deer mug; which would you have?

 Jan Constantine design candle
One of the popular ranges by British designer, Jan Constantine, is her Union Jack inspired homeware pieces (we’ve featured some of her cushions before, for example).
Now that same iconic design has been transformed into a china votive candle holder, by leading ceramicist, William Edwards. The essence of Jan’s original stitched designs shines through in the china version, especially with the visible inclusion of her blanket stitch trim around the edge of the design.
If you love Jan Constantine’s designs, then this would be a lovely addition to add to your home.
The Jan Constantine Union Jack candle is £12 from We Love British (and postage is only £1.75).
