The designer behind Earth Inke is Katherine Morris, who hand draws her wallpaper designs, taking inspiration from Britain.

What’s not to love about waking up to birdsong?
This entertaining LED alarm clock won’t exactly give you a blackbird chirping away outside your window, but you do get a bird singing and moving by your bed as part of your morning wake up call.
It’s a quirky alarm clock that can make waking up in the morning a little bit more fun.
Available in white, black or red, the Okko alarm clock is normally £30, but is currently reduced to £21 at Habitat.

Turner Pocock Cazalet (whose funky zebra and tennis wallpapers we’ve featured previously) have added a gorgeous new wallpaper design to their collection.
The Owlet wallpaper features a lovely owl design that was inspired by Catherine Cazalet’s love of owls. The contemporary style wallpaper is produced in a sketch-type manner, reflecting the fact that it is hand-drawn, with owls perched on circular swirls of vine leaves.
The wallpaper colour is Hague blue on warm white and the design works as well in adult spaces as adorning the walls of children’s rooms.
The Owlet wallpaper is sold in 10m rolls and costs £72 per roll (including VAT). It can be purchased from Turner Pocock Cazalet in the UK or The Wallpaper Collective in the US.

 Marble candle holder
Every home needs at least one tealight or candle holder (even if you don’t light the candles), so here’s an elegant carved tealight holder to tempt you from the new range at John Lewis.
Made from smooth marble, in the shape of a bird, it would be a lovely item to use to create a centrepiece or add atmospheric light to a room in the evening.
Even when not in use we can see it working equally well perched on a mantlepiece or sitting on a shelf in a room of your home.
The carved marble bird tealight holder is reasonably priced at £15.

 Bargain bird cushion
Yes, it’s birds again….but we love the look of this contemporary bird cushion.
Based on folk designs, but with a modern twist, the cushion features an array of colourful birds in red, orange, blue, grey and green. The 45cm square cover is made from a cotton and linen mix and it has a feather pad inside.
Originally priced at £25, the bird cushion is now a bit of a bargain at only £15 from Primrose and Plum.
You’ll need to hurry though, as there’s only one left….
More sale bargains can be found in their Summer Offers section.

 Cute cartoon birds
If your child loves birds, then here’s a fresh and fun wallpaper design for their room (although we’re sure it could be used in a ‘grown up’ room too, if you so desire!).
The What-a-Hoot wallpaper is designed by Harlequin and features rows of colourful owls and other birds sitting on branches. The design creates a stripe effect and looks effective when hung on a wall.
The What a Hoot wallpaper is available from various retailers, including Wallpaper Direct, for £28 per roll.

 Serve salad in style
Isn’t this salad bowl fab? I’ve been waiting for it to come back in stock, as it’s so unusual and will make serving salad (or anything else) so much more fun.
The white salad bowl is a nice shape and is made from durable plastic, so you can use it for outdoor entertaining or picnics too.
It’s the salad servers – a spoon and fork – which really bring the piece to life. Produced in a fresh green colour, the servers have two little birds (sparrows, apparently) on the end of their handles, which sit perfectly on the side of the bowl, as if they’re peeking over the edge.
The bird salad bowl and servers set is £29.95 from Rockett St George and will certainly liven up my dining table!

 Hannah Turner bird
Yes, it’s another birdy piece. This one’s by Hannah Turner, a Bristol-based ceramicist, and almost looks like it could double up as a boomerang (although we don’t recommend that you throw it).
Oh no, it would be far better, and safer, to have it perched on a windowsill or bookcase, where it can look at you with its cheery beady eyes.
Buy your blue crested bird from Liberty.

 Quirky bird
Despite the bird trend having been around for a while now, we’re still drawn to finding different bird-related styles and objects for the home.
Take this oddie bird, for example. It’s made of ceramic in a 1950s style and has been hand dipped in a gorgeous cobalt colour. Each oddie bird has enamel feather transfers applied to give it its own unique character. With its long beak and individual style, it differs from many of the other birdy images we’ve seen in interior designs.
You’ll find the oddie bird for sale at the Catkin Collection.

 Finch paperweight
This sweet little silver bird paperweight would be just the thing for perching on your desk to hold down a few papers, or to have peeping out between books on your bookcase.
It’s only small in size – 14cm by 7cm – but sometimes you only need a small decorative item to add a bit of interest to a room and small can be beautiful.
The finch paperweight is silver in colour and made of ceramic and you can buy it from Oliver Bonas for the super value price of only £3.75. That’s a bargain if ever we saw one.
