Space invaders wall print
If you’ve got fond memories of the retro space invaders game, then why not bring an image reminiscent of this classic video game to your wall?
Designer Jacqui Pearce from Pearl and Earl created this funky cross stitch space invaders design, which has been transformed into an art print.
You can buy and frame the rainbow coloured invaders print yourself, or buy it ready mounted and framed. Either way it’s a fun and quirky design and a great addition to a contemporary home.

Bespoke wall print
We can’t be sensible all the time, so here’s a wall print that celebrates a bit of naughtiness!
The bespoke print is just one of a brilliant collection by Open Box Design, an award-winning small design company.
We like the effect of the neutral words on a black background, but it’s also available in a choice of background colours, including green, blue, pink, aubergine, red and yellow.
You can simply buy the naughty print, or choose to have it framed. It costs from £20 from the Open Box Design store on Not On The High Street.

Is it a piece of wall art or is it a mirror? This contemporary blocks wall hanging ticks both boxes and is a really interesting piece to have hanging on a wall.
The unusual wall art is constructed from a series of mirrored blocks, each placed and angled in different directions. The result is a unique piece to look at and one that reflects light in an interesting way.
We’d hang it in a hallway to liven up what can be wasted wall space – there’d always be something to look at or catch your eye as you go past it, plus the light provided by the mirror could help a small hallway feel more spacious.
The blocks mirrored glass wall art is sold by Dwell and currently has 20% off their sale.

Pantone wall art
We’ve seen the Pantone colours used in a popular series of mugs and candles, but now the classic colours of Pantone, which have been used by designers for over 50 years, have been transformed into a collection of contemporary wall art canvases.
As you’d expect, the colours work wonderfully well as wall art. The canvases are bold, eye-catching and very contemporary in style, providing a cheerful pop of colour on a wall.
They can be hung individually, picking up a central colour theme in your interior design scheme, or grouped together representing several of your favourite decor colours. One single canvas on a wall looks great, but we love the effect of hanging three or four canvases horizontally or vertically or in a block of four.
The Classic Collection of Pantone wall art features 12 classic colours, including blue (072), purple (2597), turquoise (320), orange (165), silver (877) and black. A limited edition collection is also available, currently featuring a choice of four rectangular canvases measuring 150cm x 100cm x 4cm.
Each piece of canvas wall art measures 25cm x 35cm x 4cm and is a silkscreen on canvas print. They’re priced at £24.95 from Pantone Art Universe, with free postage and packing in the UK. They’re currently an offer on enabling you to buy five canvases and get a 6th free.
If you’re looking for contemporary art for a modern home, then a Pantone Art canvas is a must have.
Pantone 186 wall canvas
What’s your favourite Pantone colour? Ours is Pantone 186 – red – which evokes feelings of energy and passion.

Fabric wall hanging
If you’re looking for something different to hang on your wall, how about a textile wall hanging?
This large Relic wall hanging has the inspirational quote, “Never dream alone,” emblazoned across it in woven lettering. It’s based on an original hand-drawn sketch and the style of the woven lettering reflects this.
The textured fabric wall hanging measures 100cm by 140cm, is made from a mix of cotton and linen and has metal rings in the corners to allow you to hang it easily.
The Relic wall hanging piece of art is designed by Jimmie Martin (Jimmie Karlsson and Martin Nihlmar, a London-based Swedish design duo), and is currently available from Made.com for less than you’d normally pay on the high street.

Shades of grey
With all the hype surrounding the novel 50 Shades of Grey, by writer E L James, it’s no surprise that someone has jumped on the bandwagon with a 50 Shades of Grey inspired poster.
The poster is cleverly produced in the form of a paint chart, with varying shades of light and dark grey colours shown.
As any discerning home decorator or paint aficiando knows, there are indeed at least 50 different shades of the colour grey available and it can make a great colour palette for interior decor!
The paint themed wall poster is of course somewhat tongue in cheek, but if you’d like to celebrate the wonder that is grey (the book or the colour), then this quirky poster is sure to raise a smile or two.
The 50 Shades of Grey poster is £9.99 from Firebox.

Design company, hello DODO describe themselves as ‘playful printers’ and that certainly comes across in their screen printed art.
Rock, paper, scissors
This vibrant Rock, Paper, Scissors screen print has got us craving for a stick of rock! (We’ll probably be playing rock, paper, scissors later…).
Carl the chameleon
Can you spot Carl the chameleon? He’s hidden in there somewhere and, when you find him, the design pops right out at you!
Ship in a bottle
This bold nautical themed print features a ship in a bottle out at sea. We love the way the waves are designed.
All these prints cost £23 each, without frames, from hello DODO, plus they have lots more lovely designs to choose from.
