These fun felt cushions will appeal to many a Scrabble fan.
They’re not only rather quirky, but they’re also made from 100% recycled plastic bottles that have been formed into a wonderfully soft felt. The inner cushion is also made out of a 100% recycled fibre filling (95% made from more of those plastic bottles) and an organic cotton outer.
The U & ME cushions would be very apt for Valentine’s Day, but if there are other letters that would have more meaning for you, then they can be ordered in your own choice of lettering or colour.
If you’re keen on the idea of saving plastic bottles from going to landfill, then buying just one of these cushions will save 10 bottles!
The cushions are available to purchase individually, or in sets, and you can find them for sale at EcoCentric.

What better excuse than Valentine’s Day for hunting down all these lovely heart shaped home products?
But they’re no means just for Valentine’s Day - in fact, these are much more longer lasting than a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates.
We love the Amore range of heart shaped items, including the napkin rings and toast rack. The nickel plated toast rack will hold four slices of toast and even has a heart shaped handle at the top.
The napkin rings are made from stainless steel and come boxed as a set of four.
They’d be great gift at any time of year, and appropriate as a wedding gift too, or why not just treat yourself?
Both items are available from Beth Stevens, with the toast rack priced at £27.95 and the napkin rings at £25.95 (we’ve seen both elsewhere for £36.75 and £33, respectively, so this is quite a good deal).

 Heart casserole
Le Creuset are renowned for making high quality, long lasting kitchenware and this gorgeous red heart shaped casserole dish is no exception.
Made from cast iron, and in shades of cerise, the casserole dish is shaped like a heart and comes with a lid. It can hold up to 1.9 litres.
As well as cooking up delicious casseroles and stews in it, you can also use the dish for making soups, stock, rice dishes and even for baking cakes.
The dish is made from cast iron, so it is quite heavy (2.7kg), but it’s hardwearing and long-lasting and can be used on the hob, in the oven or under the grill.
Head over to Amazon to buy your heart casserole dish.
If you think the cast iron is too heavy for you, then a lighter stoneware version is available too.

 Bake heart shaped muffins
There are a lot of heart-shaped novelty homeware items on the market, but this is at least one of the more practical ones.
If you love baking, then why not buy this to bake your loved one some heart-shaped muffins?
The tin is made from super flexible silicone, which makes it easy to store (you can bend it and squeeze it in smaller spaces, compared to traditional metal tins) and easy to use, as you don’t need to grease it.
This six cup silicone heart shaped muffin tin is £9.99 on Amazon.

 Heart art
This is a really nice idea.
This map heart art is produced on a bespoke basis - you choose the location of your choice, the designer finds an appropriate area in their vintage map collection and produces the art for you.
The map is cut into the shape of a heart, given a glossy finish and mounted, before being popped into a handmade frame. If you don’t want the frame, it’s also available unframed.
If you’re looking for an unusual Valentine’s Day present, then there’s still time to order one of these!
You’ll find all the details on Not On The High Street.

 Creative heart art
This is a great piece of art by Brigitte Herod and one that could easily be replicated if you haven’t got £175 spare to purchase it.
The heart is made from lots of little button badges, all sourced from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and if you look closely, you’re sure to pick out badge images that you remember from your past.
The picture is framed in a white box frame and looks great from a distance, as well as close up.
To own the original, pop over to Rockett St George and snap it up.
But if you happen to have a load of old badges stashed away in your cupboard, perhaps you could have a go at creating your own wall art?
