 Bright crochet storage stool We’ve been having a bit of an ongoing ‘love it, or hate it?’ debate about these crochet storage stools ever since they appeared on sale at Plumo.
The stool idea is nice and practical, as there’s plenty of space inside to stow away your clutter. Although the crochet tops are on trend, they’re a bit of a blast from the past too and not one we’re entirely convinced about.
But whilst some of us definitely wouldn’t pay £119 for them - the original price - now that they’re dropped down, we’re beginning to be more tempted.
Last week Home Gems reported them to be £79, but now they’ve fallen even more and are down to only £45 - a much more realistic price than £119.

 Finch paperweight This sweet little silver bird paperweight would be just the thing for perching on your desk to hold down a few papers, or to have peeping out between books on your bookcase.
It’s only small in size - 14cm by 7cm - but sometimes you only need a small decorative item to add a bit of interest to a room and small can be beautiful.
The finch paperweight is silver in colour and made of ceramic and you can buy it from Oliver Bonas for the super value price of only £3.75. That’s a bargain if ever we saw one.

 The Panton Chair If there’s ever a good reason to investigate the January sales, it’s the chance of getting some classic design pieces at reduced prices.
The Lollipop Shoppe currently have up to 60% off a range of classic home and interior items (until 31st January 2010), including the Panton Chair, which is half price. It’s an ex-display model, but is in good condition and it’s not often you can find such a gem with 50% off the usual price ticket.

If you’ve been saving up your pennies in readiness for the post-Christmas sales, then you’ll pleased to hear that some are starting earlier this year.
A few online sales started yesterday, but if you’ve got your heart set on the John Lewis sale, it’s launching online at 6pm on Christmas Eve. This offers quite an early start on the in-store sale, which will commence on Sunday 27th December.
John Lewis already have a sale clearance preview page up with a few tasters on. Egyptian cotton towels will be priced from £1.50, Denby china from £6 and you could take home a Roxy large sofa for £599.

 Leaping reindeer Nice Christmas tree decorations don’t have to cost a fortune. This gold leaping reindeer decoration - which is one of a set of two - was originally £2.50 from Cargo, but has been reduced down to only £2.
Even if it’s the only new decorations you buy this year, one pound per piece isn’t going to break the bank.
Red reindeers are also available.
