If you’re looking for designer homeware and furniture at a fraction of the high street price, then Made.com is always worth checking out. Amongst their current offers are some good deals on these giant Piggy Bag seats.
Made in the form of an oversized, giant beanbag, the Piggy Bag moulds to fit your body shape, so can be sat on, laid on or curled up on. They’re great for casual or occasional seating and, as the fabric is durable, can be used out in the garden too (although it’s best not to leave them out there overnight).
Made.com are selling The Piggy Bag in a lovely choice of colours, including lime green, turquoise, red, titanium, grey and chocolate, plus a lively patriotic Union Jack design.
Typically priced at £149 on the high street, they’re currently on offer for £59 each, with express delivery.

 Cityscape coffee table This contemporary style cityscape coffee table is not only oozing with great design, but it has some clever storage solutions built into the stylish base.
The base of the table is made from solid walnut and features a design reminiscent of a city skyline, with small office block buildings and tall skyscrapers nestling together. The table is created by Xor Designs, with each one individually made to order.
The top of the table is made from thick perspex, which enables the base design to be easily seen.
 Clear perspex coffee table It’s within the base, and the skyscrapers, that the storage solutions can be found. There are well constructed spaces that work as a magazine rack, the perfect sized sections to hold your TV remote controls and other little hidden nooks and crannies.
 Magazine and remote control storage It’s a clever coffee table design and, being made of solid wood, should be a long-lasting and functional piece of furniture.

 Giant horse floor lamp Equine fans….fancy a horse in your living room?
There have been lots of animal lamps around in the last few years, but whereas most are table lamp sized, this one is life size!
The horse lamp was created by Swedish designers Front for Moooi and is made from black polyester. There’s a lot of detail on the horse, making it quite realistic – well, bar the fact that it has a lamp on its head.
You’ll definitely need a roomy house to accommodate this Black Beauty and we reckon it’s bound to become a talking point.

 Lanna coral duvet set Isn’t it great when you find something in the sale that you’ve had your eye on for a while, but couldn’t previously afford?
This striking Lanna bedding set is one example. It was over £200 previously (ouch!), but now both the double and king size duvet sets are reduced down to just £59.95, which is a substantial saving.

 Contemporary garden sculpture These amazing garden sculptures are the creation of James Lethbridge, a UK based glass artist.
Called ‘Strange Fruit‘, each of these pieces is made from glass and are designed to be used individually or in a group as an outdoor installation.
They remind us of a cross between dandelions and little people and look so effective with several stems placed together. As they’re made of glass, they’ll sparkle as they catch the light.
The Strange Fruit designer glass sculptures are sold individually and available to purchase from James Lethbridge’s store on Bouf.

 Elephant stool What’s not to love about an elephant stool?
Originally designed in 1945 by Charles and Ray Eames, the Vitra elephant stool is a classic design with contemporary appeal.
This iconic piece of furniture is made from a matt finish polypropylene and it’s available in a wide choice of colours, including ice grey, white, green, pink and red. It’s a lovely addition for a children’s bedroom or nursery.
The Eames elephant stools are available from Heal’s, where they’re currently reduced in the sale.

 Giant tea cup planter Do you remember the giant, Alice in Wonderland style tea cup stool that we featured previously on Fresh Design?
Well, here’s the same design in another incarnation – transformed into a giant tea cup planter.
The durabletea cup planter is made from MDPE moulded plastic, which is frost and fade resistant, so it can be safely used inside your home or outside in the garden.
It’s a novel idea which works well as a contemporary planter. The white tea cup planter is available to purchase from Holly Palmer’s store on Bouf.
British designer, Holly, is also the brains behind the wonderful Book Porcupine shelving unit.
