 Natural knitted cushion
This is the most lovely, soft and snuggly cushion (trust me, you won’t want to put it down) – and the chunky knitted design is on trend too!
With an autumnal chill already in the air (where has the summer gone?), this is the perfect cushion for snuggling up to on a chilly night.
The knitted cushion is made from 100% acrylic, with a polyester lining, and comes in a maple cream natural colour.
It’s usually priced at £55, but is currently on offer for £41.25 from Laura Ashley.

We’ve been keeping our eyes on Achica this week, as they’ve had some good deals on homeware. Amongst the goodies, they currently have an offer on Nigella Lawson products that runs until 7am on Saturday 27th August. Here are some of the deals we like the look of.
 Blue appetiser bowls
This set of five mini appetiser bowls, which come on a matching blue plate, would be great for serving dips or nibbles in when entertaining. It’s been nicely designed so there are indentations on the platter, so the bowls fit in place with ease and won’t wobble around when you’re carrying it.
The blue appetiser set is normally £42, but is on offer at Achica for £26. The same set is also available in cream or black for the same price.
 Salt and pepper piglets
A stylish alternative to salt and pepper grinders, this pair of piglets on their small stand will helpfully store your salt and pepper and it keep it to hand for cooking or dining.
Usually priced at £18, they’re now on offer at only £11.
 Nigella cake stand
Everyone needs at least one cake stand, but if you hate them being too fussy, then this cream cake stand is simple and stylish. The pedestal design will help your cake stand out on the table when you’re serving it and it can accommodate a cake up to 9″ in diameter.
You can save £8.50 off the usual price of this cake stand by taking advantage of the Achica offer – it’s now only £13.50.
Other offers currently running for a limited time on Achica include PiP Studio, Karlsson, Salter Kitchen, Botanico, Sharp TV and cinema and KARE Design, so take advantage of the deals while you can!

Designer Rob Ryan has collaborated with Mini Moderns to produce his first wallpaper range.
The wallpaper is based on designs from the end papers of Rob’s latest book, “A Sky Full of Kindness,” and features birdcages (which were originally cut from paper, in Ryan’s typical style) and tiny escapee birds. It’s hard to see in the images, but the birds are holding tiny messages in their beaks, spelling out the sentence, “Our adventure is about to begin.”
The wallpaper is available to purchase in three funky colourways – sky blue, chalky violet and afternoon green – and costs £50 per 10m roll from Mini Moderns.

ContemporaryLab have some great new animal inspired cushions in stock, all designed by Katie & The Wolf.
 Martha cushion
The Martha cushion features a striking fox design. It’s made from digitally printed silk and screen printed organic cotton and the back of the cushion is nicely finished off with button details.
 Perch cushion
As the name suggests, the Perch cushion features a brightly coloured turquoise bird perched on a leafy bush. The back of the cushion is plain (the same bluey grey shade as the bush), with two contrasting buttons.
 Gather cushion
Birds also feature on the Gather cushion, but in a rather different design. Definitely more modern and contemporary in style, the monotone colours of the bird and black background of the cushion contrast with the bright colours below.
All of the cushions by Katie & The Wolf are priced at £54 each and can be purchased from ContemporaryLab. The site sells lots of unique and unusual pieces of furniture, lighting, textiles and kitchenware by award-winning new designers, so is well worth a browse.

 Barcelona cityscape
It’s unusual to find basin sinks with much of a design around the outside of them (so many are plain), but Roca has produced some eye-catching designs with its Urban range.
Each of the modern square basins is decorated with a black and white urban city scene – choose from Barcelona, Berlin, New York or Shanghai – featuring the iconic landmarks best associated with each city.
The Roca Urban countertop basins are in stock at the Big Bathroom Shop. They’d be stunning in a bathroom, or even used in a kitchen.

Are you leaving your garden furniture exposed to the weather? Are you aware by leaving your furniture exposed you may cause lasting damage that could eventually destroy it?
This is certainly never uppermost in our minds when purchasing garden furniture to begin with. However, by using a little forethought if you do protect your furniture by using a garden cover once finished with or when the weather becomes more severe you will have peace of mind that your furniture is protected against wind, rain, sun and frost all year round. Garden covers are best used during the times you are not utilising your furniture and most definitely during the autumn and winter months.
Protecting your garden furniture from other substances such as bird droppings, soil, tree sap and other debris will help to keep metal or resin weave furniture looking in great condition. Wooden furniture is almost certain to be damaged if unprotected, but metal, plastic and glass items can also be damaged so ensure these are covered.
Garden furniture covers are manufactured in a variety of materials from a basic cover which costs very little and offers limited protection through to sophisticated fully breathable materials designed to keep the rain from getting in, whilst letting the moisture out.
With resistance to wind, hail, snow and rain most good quality covers have benefits such as taped seams for increased water resistance and UV resistance meaning they won’t fade over time. With so many different styles available, there are plenty to cover all your needs.
One of our favourites would be the Cube Set Cover, which provides excellent protection for a 1.3m square table and offers an affordable and easy to use cover for your dining set for protection against the elements.
Maintain and get the most out of your garden furniture by protecting it with a garden furniture cover. Covers are available designed to fit any style or combination of garden furniture so why risk disappointment next year when you discover that your garden furniture has been damaged over the winter. Ensure it is covered!
