 Handmade door stop
This bright and cheery cherry red spot doorstop is handmade by Charlotte Macey, a textile design specialist.
The medium sized pyramid doorstop is made using locally sourced spotted fabric, including pink ticking and cream linen. The base of the doorstop measures 13cm by 13cm and it weighs about 820g.
If red’s not quite your colour, then the pyramid doorstop is also available in charcoal and teal spotty designs.
This sweet little piece not only looks great, but serves a jolly useful purpose too.
The doorstop is £12 from Charlotte Macey’s store.

 Heart art
This is a really nice idea.
This map heart art is produced on a bespoke basis – you choose the location of your choice, the designer finds an appropriate area in their vintage map collection and produces the art for you.
The map is cut into the shape of a heart, given a glossy finish and mounted, before being popped into a handmade frame. If you don’t want the frame, it’s also available unframed.
If you’re looking for an unusual Valentine’s Day present, then there’s still time to order one of these!
You’ll find all the details on Not On The High Street.

- Special crystal bowl
I’ve previously only associated Aspinal of London with luxury leather goods, but did you know they sold other home items too?
Take this crystal decorative bowl, for example. It’s not any old average bowl, but is a special piece made from clear crystal glass with a sterling silver base.
It’s not cheap, but it is hand crafted and, for a special occasion, it would make a very nice home gift. Measuring 13.75″ in diameter, the bowl is the ideal size for a fruit bowl.
The crystal glass and sterling silver bowl is available from Aspinal of London.

Designed by Maxwell and Williams, and part of the Cashmere range, the Allegro dinner set is a fresh and stylish design that would work well in many a modern kitchen.
Available in noir (black and white) or rouge (red and white) the stripy design is made from fine bone china. Whilst the pieces can be bought seperately, a starter pack of 20 pieces – four dinner plates, four side plates, four soup bowls and four tea cups and saucers – is available from Cook in Style. If you need dinnerware for larger numbers, you can always buy two sets or add to it in the future.
Usually priced at £110 per set, the Cashmere Allegro 20 piece dinner sets are currently reduced down to a more tasty sounding £70 per set.
Both colour choices are available and you’ll find them at Cook in Style.

 Get ready for spring
Now’s the time to start thinking about spring bulbs and, if you’ve got limited space, or want a splash of colour to look out on from your window, then a windowbox is the ideal solution.
This willow planter set is perfect and makes gardening easy, as it comes with a planting bag and stylish willow panels, that easily fit around the bag to create the windowbox effect.
When your plants have flowered, and you no longer want the box in situ, the panels fold down for easy storage.
The willow planter set is sold by The Urban Garden and is currently priced at £8.99.

 Recycled vinyl bowl
How clever is this?
If you’ve got a soft spot for traditional vinyl records, and you love recycling, then you can’t go wrong with this vinyl bowl.
Yes, the bowl is made from vintage vinyl records and each piece is unique, both in terms of exact dimensions, the record used and the colour label featured in the middle.
The Vinylux vinyl bowl is available from The Ethical Superstore, where you can currently take advantage of 49% off the usual price.

 Bright crochet storage stool
We’ve been having a bit of an ongoing ‘love it, or hate it?’ debate about these crochet storage stools ever since they appeared on sale at Plumo.
The stool idea is nice and practical, as there’s plenty of space inside to stow away your clutter. Although the crochet tops are on trend, they’re a bit of a blast from the past too and not one we’re entirely convinced about.
But whilst some of us definitely wouldn’t pay £119 for them – the original price – now that they’re dropped down, we’re beginning to be more tempted.
Last week Home Gems reported them to be £79, but now they’ve fallen even more and are down to only £45 – a much more realistic price than £119.
What do you think? Are you tempted to buy one? You’ll find them available at Plumo, in a choice of pink, purple or green.

These dandelion design table mats are just three of a set of six, by designer Ella Doran.
The table mat images are all of dandelion flowers, but each mat features a different stage of the dandelion’s life. From a full grown, bright yellow flower, to a transformation into a seedhead, to the moments when the seeds gradually get blown away – all of the images have been superbly captured.
I really like the non-uniform idea of these mats, that they complement each other perfectly well, but that each is a little different.
The mats measure 24cm by 19cm and the surface can easily be wiped down to clean.
The set of six mats is available to buy from Ella Doran’s online store.

Everyone needs a white jug or two, but why go for a plain old boring design when you could have this wonderful pelican jug?
Designed by Maxwell and Williams, and made from fine white porcelain, the jug is gorgeously stylish and will hold 0.9 litres of liquid.
It will look great on a table, but also equally good displayed in your kitchen or dining room when not in use.

 Finch paperweight
This sweet little silver bird paperweight would be just the thing for perching on your desk to hold down a few papers, or to have peeping out between books on your bookcase.
It’s only small in size – 14cm by 7cm – but sometimes you only need a small decorative item to add a bit of interest to a room and small can be beautiful.
The finch paperweight is silver in colour and made of ceramic and you can buy it from Oliver Bonas for the super value price of only £3.75. That’s a bargain if ever we saw one.
