First introduced in 1956, the Marshmallow sofa is one of the iconic pieces of Pop Art style furniture.
Designed by Irving Harper and George Nelson, the whimsical sofa design features 18 round cushions that seemingly float on the frame. The cushions can be easily detached from the frame and can be interchanged with other colours, to create a unique look.
On a more practical level, it also means the cushions can be easily cleaned.
Whether you have it in your home or office, the Marshmallow sofa is a great design centrepiece and always gets people talking.
Marshmallow sofas in a range of leather colours can be purchased from Interior Addict for £549 (we’re amused they’re calling it the Marshmellow – perhaps that’s how you feel when you’ve sat on the sofa for a while!).
